Splash Mountain has a 52 foot, 45-degree, 40 mph drop-no seat belts. Heimlich's Chew Chew Train putts at 2 mph and has seat belts, as modeled by BabyChurro. Hmm.
It's to prevent people from jumping out and taking a bite out of the watermelon on Heimlich's Chew Chew Train. - LaTruce

Safety is our number one priority. It is mainly for the mini's, but we have everyone wear one for safety reasons. We do have a lot of little bugs wanting to stand up or try to jump over to chew chew along with Heimlich. Heimlich's Chew Chew Train has no height requirement, whereas Splash Mountain does. - iPoca.

Your answer is adorable lol - ladylikesdisney 921.5 #95 9:39AM
Makes perfect sense to me. My little ones get antsy in their pantsy and always try to stand up if they're not buckled in. They just get so excited! - deedub 37.6 #4076 9:41AM
Yup! Jackson always wants to stand up during this and any other ride! Whats with kids never wanting to sit? lol - PrinceTeaJack 786.3 #120 9:55AM

I have this same feeling about the Zephyr not having a height requirement, but the Jellyfish right by it does

maybe you are more contained on the Zephyr? Idk. Only went on the Jellies once. I think it could be rethemed with Nemo. Add Dory and Nemo to it - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint 1798.6 #42 11:08PM
Still have never ridden this ride! Someone take me! haha - Jenniferr

This is such an interesting observation. I guess Disney thinks most ppl can handle that drop, no straps needed. I could never keep my head up on splash during that fall, I wouldn't mind having a strap even one made out of rope. - poipolegirl

I think, like someone said, because mainly minis ride it while splash as a height requirement for kids that should know not to jump down a 52 foot, 45 degree, 40 mph drop :p - sleepyhead
