Splash Mountain has a 52 foot, 45-degree, 40 mph drop-no seat belts. Heimlich's Chew Chew Train putts at 2 mph and has seat belts, as modeled by BabyChurro. Hmm.

It's to prevent people from jumping out and taking a bite out of the watermelon on Heimlich's Chew Chew Train. - LaTruce  1641.6 #45 11:52PM
Safety is our number one priority. It is mainly for the mini's, but we have everyone wear one for safety reasons. We do have a lot of little bugs wanting to stand up or try to jump over to chew chew along with Heimlich. Heimlich's Chew Chew Train has no height requirement, whereas Splash Mountain does. - iPoca.  905.6 #96 9:36AM
Your answer is adorable lol - ladylikesdisney  921.5 #95 9:39AM
Makes perfect sense to me. My little ones get antsy in their pantsy and always try to stand up if they're not buckled in. They just get so excited! - deedub  37.6 #4076 9:41AM
Yup! Jackson always wants to stand up during this and any other ride! Whats with kids never wanting to sit? lol - PrinceTeaJack  786.3 #120 9:55AM
Doesnt make sense does it - chipanddalefan  527.1 #217 10:56PM
no. when she saw the belt she asked if we really had to put it on. haha - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint  1798.6 #42 10:59PM
I wonder about some of the rides lol - chipanddalefan  527.1 #217 11:07PM
they should put at least a seatbelt or change the log car of splash mountain! the WDW Splash mountain have safety lap bar on it - otilegna  862.2 #106 11:31PM
and you sit side by side. - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint  1798.6 #42 9:03AM
Haha this is so true I always wondered that - Hendizl  1312.9 #61 10:55PM
😂😂😂 - MozPrincess  577.4 #189 10:57PM
Ha ha! Good point - lynniesue42  229.4 #1250 10:59PM
Ha! I think it's because Heimlich's is for the minis. - VeloMouseGirl  549.7 #202 10:59PM
yeah, but the face I made on ToT is near what I make on Splash...only I am holding on for dear life 😂 - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint  1798.6 #42 11:02PM
Hahaha! They're both such great attractions. I'd love to see that face on Splash. Saturday we rode it there times in a row to close the Park. So fun!! - VeloMouseGirl  549.7 #202 11:09PM
i TRIED to do the MW sign and smile, all calm and cool --ended up grabbing the side and screaming! Ahahaha! - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint  1798.6 #42 11:11PM

Safety for the minis? - LostUndertheSea  275.6 #772 10:59PM
Oh, the irony! Very funny observation! - 7mouskedoodles  161.1 #2137 11:02PM
I have this same feeling about the Zephyr not having a height requirement, but the Jellyfish right by it does - HBurns21  151.2 #2271 11:06PM
maybe you are more contained on the Zephyr? Idk. Only went on the Jellies once. I think it could be rethemed with Nemo. Add Dory and Nemo to it - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint  1798.6 #42 11:08PM
Still have never ridden this ride! Someone take me! haha - Jenniferr  428.0 #295 11:06PM
it smells soooo good! - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint  1798.6 #42 11:06PM

It's so cute! I love the scents. Yum, watermelon. - Vegan7LuvsStitch  799.8 #116 11:11PM
*rode lol - VeloMouseGirl  549.7 #202 11:12PM
This is such an interesting observation. I guess Disney thinks most ppl can handle that drop, no straps needed. I could never keep my head up on splash during that fall, I wouldn't mind having a strap even one made out of rope. - poipolegirl  102.8 #3002 11:12PM
I think, like someone said, because mainly minis ride it while splash as a height requirement for kids that should know not to jump down a 52 foot, 45 degree, 40 mph drop :p - sleepyhead  368.6 #376 11:14PM
You bring up a good point. Hmmm - AshleyLynn22  747.6 #136 11:16PM
Awesome = Putting one of the chew-chew trains on the Splash Mountain course. - Experiment818  1598.0 #47 11:36PM
Ha! Heimlich would ralph. - VeloMouseGirl  549.7 #202 11:40PM
It's cuz Heimlich will eat you if you fall of the track. - TheNewTrent  514.5 #228 11:52PM
Watermelon - Zipitydoodahdad  258.1 #923 11:53PM
Ha!! - LaPearleNoir  573.4 #192 6:28AM
*gasp* how dare you even begin to speak in a negative tone about Heimlich's Chew Chew Train!!! - Slotherini  886.9 #99 6:40AM
It really is a mystery I'll never comprehend! Lol - Duchess_SMK  3285.0 #11 6:56AM
That giant watermelon scares me, I'll go on TOT instead - ScooterMike  1959.8 #35 9:23AM
