I am debating taking the kids to Blue Bayou for lunch during our October trip..We usually just eat stuff when we are hungry, where we are... not sure about trying to be at a certain place at a certain time. Any thoughts?
depends on how the kids are, but they do give out really cool pirate hats to kids. - madsdad

The kids are awesome.....did you mean how "old" the kids are? They are 10 & 8. - rdaann 274.1 #791 8:43PM
And they sell really light up tinker bells! - LaPearleNoir 573.8 #192 8:48PM

I'd wait till they're a bit older and will enjoy it more. - MelodyMouse

We took our daughter when she was 10. She loved it! At that time they had a great kids menu so would assume they still do. She loved watching the boats full of people go by and waved to all of them. - We3LuvDisney

I took my 3 and 5 year old in July. I was able to move my reservation time up by two hours that day and we sat by the water. The kid portions were large and they could have shared. They started to get restless towards the end. Overall it was a great experience. - jenirva

Thanks for the input - I think I am mainly concerned about being some where at a specific dining time -- but it's nice to know that jenirva was able to move the reservation. - rdaann

I think it all comes down to the menu items and if it's something the kids will eat at the prices they charge. Look at the menu & prices in this app under Food-Menu section which shows all the eateries throughout the DLR and their prices as well. Hope this helps, have a great time. Blue Bayou has always been one of our favorite places to dine. - splashphotoCM

It depends on who your debating with and their skill level. - Mouse4life

Oh no, it's a debate with myself and I'm really good at debating. LOL - rdaann 274.1 #791 9:09AM
We took our 9 year-old niece back in April. She loved it! We sat by the water, and she enjoyed watching the people on POTC float by. She ordered from the kids menu, but I don't think it was enough for her. She's not a big eater... maybe she was extra hungry from walking around the park all day! - ima-pirateswife
