Remember that time in life when everything was possible? Love, magic, beating the bad guy, seeing something fantastic, being care free? That's the feeling Disneyland gives me. When I see the tip of the Matterhorn my insides light up and I feel like I'm 5 and good wins over evil, hope is abundant, happy endings happen. And that feeling is two-fold now. Growing up in the 60's (yeah, I'm old!) my access to Disney was limited - no VCRs, no Disney Channel, no Disney Store, no online access! I was lucky enough to have a gramma who would take me on Saturdays to see Disney movies and parents who would make several trips to DL every year. But that was it! My Happy Place was all things Disney! And that hasn't changed. Disney has encouraged me to imagine, believe and instilled in me a desire and love of the creativity that is possible. DL is one place I can go to feel inspired, toss away any sadness and just have fun.
