Just a heads up for anyone going to Disneyland soon. Disney now has a Photopass+ that you can preorder before your trip (at least 14 days). For anyone who normally buy the CD anyways it can be a great deal. Last year we paid $60 for the resort photo CD and got the Photopass CD for free (another great deal). The Photopass+ allows you to get all that plus all your ride and character dining photos added to your Photopass for free. We ordered ours last Wednesday afternoon and UPS was at our door on Friday morning and that was shipping outside the US. The package contained the resort photo CD (which actually had a few different pictures than last year), the voucher for your Photopass+ card which you use just like a Photopass card, and the redemption code for your actual Photopass CD which you then order online when you are ready. Last year the Photo CD was shipped free to the US but I can't say for sure if this is too. You can also choose the download option (what I did) and get your pictures (and license) instantly and allowed me to have my scattered family download all the pictures too with ease. Hope this helps!!!

Here is the link for the Photopass+ if you are interested (been a busy morning and I forgot to include it). http://www.disneyphotopass.com/dlrphotopassplus.aspx - justme2012  142.5 #2843 12:24PM
I just want to be clear on what this includes because I was reading into this today and not positive on what the deal with this is... So you pre order the photopass plus and with that you get the photopass cd where you can load all the photos from your trip including dining and attraction posters and the resort photo cd (which I assume is a cd with nice pictures of the resort??) and is that it? Or does it include prints too? I just want to have all the facts because I am considering this for my trip in November. Thanks! :) - kbritt27  278.7 #1065 8:31PM
You get a voucher when you preorder, bring that to DL to get your photo pass. You get prints from character dining, but the rest are digital. So when you go to the attractions, after the ride you give them your pass and the picture loaded to your card. This also happens when CMs take your pictures with characters. When you get home, all the digital photos can be uploaded on their website to a cd that will be mailed to you. Preorder is 69, at the parks it's 99. Totally worth it since it's 14 per attraction print (which you can take more than one on each attraction to add to your cd) and 40 for character dining prints. You also get the resort cd, I believe. - HasAnyoneSeenMyGlassSlipper  690.8 #286 9:08PM
Wow that does sound like a great deal. Thanks for the info! - kbritt27  278.7 #1065 9:11PM
Also, if your family is on two different attractions at once, and you only have one card, get the photo number from the booth and it can be uploaded later when you have the card. - HasAnyoneSeenMyGlassSlipper  690.8 #286 9:12PM
So, you can print out your attraction pictures or order them from say Walgreens at no extra charge? - aidensmama  340.3 #704 9:20PM
You can print out the attraction pictures at home or at Walgreens, but you'll have to pay for the ones from Walgreens. Instead of spending 14 for each print at park, you'll pay what ever it costs to get a print at Walgreens. - HasAnyoneSeenMyGlassSlipper  690.8 #286 9:48PM
It doesn't include prints but you can get prints from Disneyland while you're there, from their website or take them to someplace local when you get your CD (or download). The photopass CD doesn't include uploaded pictures if you do it yourself online but may if they do it at DL (not 100% sure on this so ask a CM when you're there). This is mainly a good value if you plan on getting the Photopass CD anyways since the CD itself usually costs about $60 by itself. This way for a few dollars more you get the resort CD (pics of characters, DL, DCA, fireworks and the hotels) for free plus the ability to get all your attraction photos (splash, screamin, tower, space mtn, your character dining and whatever other attractions have disney taken photos taken) included. - justme2012  142.5 #2843 10:28PM
Well I know I'd have to pay Walgreens if I got it from them. Lol. I asked cause it will be worth it to pay say $1.99 at Walgreens vs $14.95 at Disneyland. :) - aidensmama  340.3 #704 10:37PM
You do get a print package from Character dining, it says that on the info page, but what I ment by "uploads" are the digitals that were put on your pass that you choose to put on your cd by uploading to the cd online. That needs to be done inorder for them to send you the cd. All the pictures must be put on the plus pass at Disneyland. It's a great deal and I'm really excited my travel agent let me know about it! - HasAnyoneSeenMyGlassSlipper  690.8 #286 11:18PM
Thank you for sharing. :) 😊 - DisneyFanZoe  1249.3 #135 12:37PM
Good info. Thanks for the heads up! - Mikemcl  247.0 #1393 12:44PM
I've seen many guests trying this out and it's working fine. Makes it a lot easier to purchase pictures from attractions - BaseballMickey_CM  7599.7 #11 12:48PM
Just bought mine last week. Super excited to use it. Now I dont have to worry about getting the perfect shot! Plus the prints from Ariels Grotto and the attraction digitals are a huge selling point! - HasAnyoneSeenMyGlassSlipper  690.8 #286 1:12PM
I bought it especially for the ride and dinner photos. We usually buy a photo from the various rides but usually there's one that's better later on. Now you can have all your pictures from the 50 times you go on each ride instead of just one. - justme2012  142.5 #2843 2:08PM
So how do you get your picture from a ride to the photopass? Do you just give them the card at the counter? Then you can download all the pictures or just a few? Thanks - zigbear  152.1 #2682 8:19PM
Also, if we had a big group and all didn't fit into one picture would they put more than 1 picture at once from the ride onto the card? And are the regular pixs that CMs take (like you with a character) included? Thanks again - zigbear  152.1 #2682 8:36PM
It is just like a photo pass that you get from any of the Disney photographers (the ones you see with the characters or at the entrance to DL or the castle, etc). The difference is that on rides and the character dining they will scan the photopass+ card and upload your picture to your card (something you cant do with a regular photopass). - justme2012  142.5 #2843 10:32PM
THAT right there is awesome info!!! I am gonna have to remember this... Just one question: Can you still edit the photos like you can do when you order the Photo Pass? I adore the frames and add ons that they have on the Disney site! - SPandEvLover  4531.8 #29 8:49PM
Yes you can edit your photos online before you order(redeem) the CD. Last year on the regular Photo CD the overlays were a bit more limited than what they have if you do it at Disneyland but still impressive. The overlays are also linked to the location the photos were taken (DCA photos would have the option of DCA overlays for example). Another good thing is you can modify each picture with different overlays so when you get your CD it will include the original picture plus the same picture with whatever overlays you did (I had about 4 versions of each photo on mine). - justme2012  142.5 #2843 10:36PM
I'm thinking that this may be perfect for the Halloween party. - aidensmama  340.3 #704 9:24PM
We ordered this for our trip last month. So worth it! Will do every trip from now on. - girlzstylin  227.6 #1639 10:48PM
Thanks again for the heads up, we just ordered ours!!! - adisneyfamily  1003.9 #187 11:31AM
