Ok MW family I need to request some advice based on your Disney land wisdom and experience. We are planning our very first trip to Disneyland in September and will plan to see fireworks and Fantasmic on a Friday. I had planned on purchasing premium seating for (1st show) and staying in seats for fireworks. However I recently learned I will not be able to see castle during fireworks from these seats. So MW family I say you what is better choice: premium seating and do not see FW over castle or FW over castle and non premium seats for later show ( because it is less crowded and not necessary to get a good view from what I have read). Any advice you can give is much appreciated.
I would do fireworks then a later show for Fantasmic! It is true that you will not be able to see the castle from the Fantasmic! seats. But that's just my opinion. You will need to save spots on the earlier side for great castle viewing of the fireworks as well. - LilSterner

I would do seating for fantasmic and then head to the Plaza Inn for dinner and sit outside where you get a great view of the fireworks! - LisaMouse7531

Premium for Fireworks, as soon as the show is over head to NOS and find a nice standing spot. Yes, you won't have a seat for Fantasmic, but trust me, there is PLENTY of areas to stand and have a great view (no, I will not tell you my secret locations ;) ) - shadowgamer

In all the years I've been to DL, I've never gotten a great view of the castle for fireworks. I think the fireworks are magical from anywhere in the park. We always do the time slot of premium fantasmic seating that will allow us to see the fireworks from our seats. I've never been disappointed. - Fanatic4Disney

Went with early show and premium seating. Just booked it. Think this willbe best option for my family of 5 ( especially the younger members). Thank you so much for your advice. - alevesque
