Was talking to security tonight while waiting for the fireworks, and he said Disney owns everything on Harbor from McDonald's to Katella. He also said Tomorrow Land is set for a major refurb to be completed before the 60th anniversary.
Disney does not own everything from McDonalds to Harbor unless he is talking about the northern side and I still don't know if they own the lot where the 7-11 sits but the big rumor is that they are going to redo Tomorrowland for the 60th, now what actually happens is still really unknown and most everything is all rumors with no facts...Just because they are a CM does not make them know all as a Disney Historian or Imagineer - Dave

The WDW story proves that this isn't true. Walt was upset with all the cheap and tacky eateries and hotels that sprung up around Disneyland. It took away from the magic he was trying to create. That's one of the reasons he bought so much land in secret in FL - GoofyMom77

I've heard they are going to re-imagine autopia. It'll still be a "drive the car" attraction but with some major improvements. A couple of new and fully awesome attractions are supposed to take the place of Innoventions and Nemo - GoofyMom77 245.3 #1073 10:01AM
I've read there are plans for the innoventions building and the people mover will never return 😔 also read Alice is to get retractable railing so the ugly tarps can come down and there are no plans for the subs at this time - KissDclown

I think a lot of the confusion about what Disney owns stems from an agreement between the City and "Resort Area Businesses". The resort area is 2.2 miles and is for tourism/commercial use only. Disney does not own all of this land, they are just directly affected by it. The City voted to approve a developer's plans to build 1,500 homes within the boundaries. Long story short, Disney sued, and City then withdrew approval. Voters must now approve any non-tourism/commercial developments in the area. - Gia
