1st time!!! I'm like a kid with a lot of sugar here!
This ride is terrible...they should have left it as Alien Encounter - Dave

yea it was pretty terrifying for kids and adults. same basic premiss but it the affects were enhanced and it was a scary looking Alien running around the room - Dave 8632.3 #2 11:36AM
Ya, nothing says therapy bill like having your young children live the aliens movie! - madsdad 1122.8 #73 11:38AM
Every time he burps Cheetos I think of the A.E. drool and I get scared. - snowwhitelike 19.3 #5130 12:05PM
I remember when we first went on it all the kids screaming and crying bloody murder, pretty sure that's whey they changed it - Dave 8632.3 #2 12:20PM
We took our kids to Alien Encounter, ages 7, 8, 11. I had to have the 2 younger ones put their heads between their knees, close their eyes, and humm. The oldest loved it, and he and dad went to it again while I sat outside with the other 2. Total immersion into the encounter. Scary, but none of us have forgotten it to this day - Sugarbuzz 44.3 #3869 12:38PM
We went on alien encounter when it first opened it was so scary my older sister had to carry my younger sister ( who was 11) out of the ride because she freaked out! - Littlecuppycake 185.3 #1803 12:50PM
Oh my gosh, alien encounter sounds like so much fun! Disneyland should do at least 1 ride that scary during Halloween. I'm sure Disneyland could knock the socks off any Knotts haunt maze and Disneyland could do it without all the gore. - kss4tink 216.8 #1393 1:45PM
Nah, ghost galaxy is not scary...well...to me it isn't lol. I'm talkin, "can't sleep, clowns will eat me." type of scared. - kss4tink 216.8 #1393 2:23PM
Kiss4tink- alien encounter totally sucked you into the encounter. Instead of transporting the guests to the planet, the alien was transported to earth in the center of the room. It was a glass tube that fogged up, turned colors. The alien had wings. The lights went out (power outage). Then there was an employee walking on the scaffolding above you shining a flashlight. The glass shattered, alien got out. Wings flapped. You feel the breeze on you. Guy gets munched above you, warm "water" drips on you. Alien is behind you, warm breath on your neck, tongue wraps around your head, and screams are non-stop. Beyond the 4D that muppets offer. It had warnings about being clostrophobic, dark places, heart issues. The most intense show. Ever! - Sugarbuzz 44.3 #3869 2:31PM
Tongue wrap, that was me sorry everyone to my right and left - Villescas8(V8) 589.1 #184 3:01PM
@Sugarbuzz: wow, thank you for the description, it really does sound intense! I got a little freaked out just reading about it lol. Although, I don't know about the whole tongue thing, eeek! - kss4tink 216.8 #1393 3:38PM
Sounds like my date last week. - madsdad 1122.8 #73 3:55PM
Suzarbuzz, thanks for that description! Holy (bleep)!! I honestly think I would have had a heart attack, that would have beyond freaked me out!! I was scared of the Yeti on Everest so this would have done me in for sure, lol! π±π± - MinnieMousewife 570.0 #193 4:08PM
After hearing the description of Alien Encounter, why would anyone take their young child on it??? π³ - DisneyFanZoe 1083.8 #77 4:28PM
Not sure how the tonge thing worked. Kind of like the alien was taste testing his dinner. It was probably warm air that just went from behind your head to the front then back. The chair that you sat in had arms and a head rest but with sides, so I'm sure everything was programmed into it.@madsdad-I wouldn't go back for a second date.@disneyfanzoe-the warnings weren't descriptive enough.. Heart problems? Every ride has that. Dark? POTC. Clostrophobic? Nope, not our fam. Internet wasn't around then to ask about it. Who would think Disney would be so scary? Anyway, kids survived it. The little ones didn't have to do it again. The oldest is fearless, and wanted to go again. it was the ultimate experience. I have to say it has not been replicated. (personally, I was glad to sit outside with the kids). - Sugarbuzz 44.3 #3869 4:56PM
My kid cried bloody murder on Alien Encounter, first time we'd been to WDW so I had no clue what it was all about. Lesson learned! - donnievegas 1127.5 #72 5:51PM
Alien encounter to this day is the scariest ride ever! Went on it about 12 years ago and I was freaked out. Awesome. I am a grown adult and it was fun but I can't see small kids getting on it. Fun to take someone for the first time. - verofern 135.0 #2519 6:39PM
Oooo...Alien Encounter was so awesome!!! The "water" splats freaked me out LOL :o) but yeah it was totally scary for young kids ~ lots of screaming as soon as the alien got loose - HadMatter 351.2 #406 6:44PM
Weeeeee!!!!!! Have fun, I didn't care for Stitch's great mistake but you may:) - GoofyMom77

Nice, what kind of attraction is it? - madsdad
1122.8 #73 10:16AM
You sit in a cirlce auditorium and a sholder harness traps you in your seat. The seat doesn't move. Stitch escapes like he does in his movie and messes with the people in the seats. He plays with your hair, jumps on your sholders, and spits. - GoofyMom77 108.5 #2920 10:33AM
Don't forget the chili dog. - Lelundrial 339.6 #430 10:42AM
Did anybody ever ride this ride when it used to be an alien thing? I remember it scared me so bad I cried the entire time! I'm so happy they changed it and made it more family and kid friendly! - kritomiester

I remember that it was scary but I enjoyed it - lilo84 374.5 #366 10:28AM
I remember the alien, I rode it 10 years ago now. I was 11 and I screamed the whole time, but I thought alot of people were screaming to and I asked my family when it was over if they screamed, and nope I was the only one. But my grandpa after bought me a stuffed dasiy duck and then I was fine. - alibug 137.3 #2481 11:43AM
Those seats hurt my shoulders. - Lelundrial

Me too! I can't hang with this. - DisneyBrideΒ°OΒ° 366.5 #379 10:29AM
Was the seat attached to a stroller? - Armenda 984.3 #89 10:57AM
Where is this??? WDW? Please share more pics of the inside. :) - Vegan7LuvsStitch

Oooh, if I could move there I would. :) - Vegan7LuvsStitch 798.6 #116 11:01AM
This thing weirded me out. Go across to the laugh factory! - ScubaSteve028
807.5 #114 10:48AM
Is it any different from monsters inc. in Cali Steve? - kristian 1770.1 #43 10:53AM
The laugh factory is like a comedy club where Monster comedians do stand up! it's interactive with audience. Think of it as a Monsters version of Turtle Talk :) - Willierose 1175.7 #68 10:55AM
Yes, way different! You sit in an audience and hidden cameras randomly pick people to pop up on the big screen and do ridiculous things. They got me good... - ScubaSteve028 807.5 #114 10:57AM
It is really entertaining! Very fun for kids and adults. - AKMouse 376.5 #363 10:59AM
I'm still retelling one of the jokes I heard in there. It's been almost a year since I heard it. The joke?: Why don't they play poker in Africa? Because of all the cheatas. - GoofyMom77 108.5 #2920 11:25AM
I don't know why this made me laugh. π - DisneyFanZoe 1083.8 #77 4:36PM
I forgot that they were going to put this in at Disneyland in the old mission to mars building because it's exactly the same layout but because it was to scary they scratched it - Dave
