#Review- Walt Disney Family Museum- My family and I just recently visited this museum in the Presidio in San Francisco. To not spoil the whole experience, I'll try not to give a lot away, but I really enjoyed. I liked how it was really simple (and had a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge),
but it really took a detailed journey into Walt's life from birth, to his move to Hollywood to the creation of motion pictures and to building Disneyland. Some of the artifacts they had were amazing for any Disney fan: which included some of his personal letters to his actual train, an real multi-plane camera and a model of Disneyland (which we probably spent the most time looking at). While going through the museum, you can really feel the ups and downs of his success and realize what a risk taker and innovator he really was (like using Technicolor and using television to reach out to the masses). If you are a Disney fan (which I think all of you are) and/or just interested in learning more about Walt Disney, I highly recommend this place. The building may look small in the outside, but you could easily spend a few hours in there. But, there is a lot of reading through the displays and not a lot of places to sit, so this museum may be hard to visit with young children. And Cast Members, if you have 4 people in your group, it's more beneficial to join the special Cast Member membership. :)
