To those who have attended Mickey's Halloween party...I was reading the details on the Disney website about guest costumes and was wondering something. My family and I are all dressing as pirates, but will they allow us to have swords? I got them in the party favor area at Target so it's no biggie if we can't bring them in I would just hate to bring them and have to walk them back to the hotel. Also, my daughter is 4 and loves her costume along with the sword so preparing her ahead of time would be a lot better than a tantrum at the gate when/if she is denied her sword. This is what I read on the Disney website: 'Costumes should not contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another Guest. Costumes should not contain any weapons which resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.' Has anyone seen others with plastic swords or the like? The costumes are way cuter with the sword hanging on the belt. I would appreciate any input. Thanks!

I have seen many people dress as pirates for the Halloween party and yes, they did have play swords with them. We even sell play swords in many stores inside the park, so I think you should be okay. - BaseballMickey_CM  2849.5 #15 9:49PM
That's what I thought but the website posting worried me. Thank you! Will you be working the Halloween party? I'm going on 10/5 - would love to say hi! - tballzz  390.1 #345 10:04PM
