Try Priceline and bid for your own price. Choose the area and stars. I was able to get a decent room across the street a couple years ago in December for $50 a night. I say for December it was a steal. If you don't want to go that route, Quality Inn also has cheap rooms and comes with breakfast and short in walking distance.
