Any DSLR users out there who wants to know how to take a perfect picture of the fireworks show?

Hi Gadgetman!! Yes, how?? I always get blurry blobs... 😁 - DisneyFanZoe  1099.1 #75 6:29PM
Hey there! I'd love to improve my fireworks shots! - DiamondInTheRough  291.9 #660 6:33PM
Yes please. I don't have, DSLR but I will some day! - Boundin  425.4 #299 6:39PM
Ok first you must have the following. DSLR with either a 18-55mm lens or a 70-250 lens. A tripod and a remote shutter release. Cord or cordless is fine. - Gadgetman  288.8 #678 6:39PM
If you have a timer, no need for a shutter release. ;) - flukefan  266.4 #863 6:52PM
👋 hi friend! Yes! Teach me please!! - Duchess_SMK  3291.4 #11 6:40PM
Wow! :) - LizO™  470.0 #259 6:46PM
I took a photo class a few years back, but trying to remember how this is done. Are you talking about using a very slow shutter speed with your camera on a tripod so that it doesn't move? - debbiev  59.3 #3589 6:48PM
Google and youtube are your best friend :) ive been able to find great tips on photographing fireworks. - acpowers13  148.8 #2311 6:53PM
Timer is fine but you need to know when the next bust is. - Gadgetman  288.8 #678 6:55PM
Location is a big thing. DL is not going to let set up a tripod all over Main Street. The 2 best places I like is either, the top level of the parking structure. Get view and clean shots. Or all in the open area between both parks. You get the train station in the photo too. Killer shot. - Gadgetman  288.8 #678 6:58PM
Hi SMK. - Gadgetman  288.8 #678 6:58PM
Camera settings once you setup. You must use Manuel settings. Lens at manuel focus set to infinity. Image stabilizer must be on. ISO 100, f stop 11 and shutter speed 2 seconds. - Gadgetman  288.8 #678 7:10PM
Just did a screen grab of this for when I eventually get a dslr. Thanks for the great tip. Question though: is this good only for shooting the actual fireworks, or will it also make the castle/IASW etc. look good? - LittleAprilShowers  471.8 #256 7:26PM
It will help both out. Only if there's no projection on IASW. Due to the fact your using a slower shutter speed and it will blur the pictures on there. - Gadgetman  288.8 #678 7:32PM
