Taking a poll... Bday is on Halloween... I got my girlfriend premium annual pass and for my bday she said either Halloween party or 2 nights in Disney grand California hotel or my choice of Disney hotels. What would you pick?

I'd go with the Halloween party and stay at a cheaper hotel. You could stay at paradise pier and the difference between that and the grand would cover your party tickets. 😃 - aidensmama

Hotel guests get early entry at least through the summer, either park either day for each day of your stay. You might want to call and check for the fall. - minigirl1156 449.4 #280 7:26PM

I agree with aidensmama4ever. Do the party and stay at PP. I'm not going to lie, I've been dying to stay at the Grand Californian, but I just can't justify spending the $$. Paradise Pier is a great hotel, especially if you get the room w/ a view which they often upgrade you to free on charge on a special day like your bday, if they have the availability. :) - DaisyDork

I stayed at the Grand and it was good but we had some problems there but they were remedied. But I think another hotel would be good with the Halloween party.

Paradise Pier!! Get an upper level theme park room!! We have stayed at the Grand and Paradise Pier. I would choose Paradise Pier ANY DAY!!! The view is BREATH TAKING and You can walk through the Grand lobby to Downtown Disney on your way to the parks! The lobby is really the best part of the Grand! Rooms aren't any nicer than PPH! - brittandkell

My family stayed at the Grand and I wasn't overly impressed by the room. The hotel is nice and I'm glad I had the experience but for me it wasn't worth the price. I am def going to try paradise pier one of these days. - aidensmama 339.3 #448 7:55PM

ummm i have to disagree.. the Grand is a MUCH better hotel. to me Paradise Pier just seemed cheap and not well maintained. we got upgraded to a suite and the view was AMAZING.. but that was about it. its a far walk even through the Grand after a long day when you're tired. - LolatheSlush 201.5 #1645 9:32AM
