When Space Mountain first opened, all the kids in the neighborhood piled into a car and went to DL. We stood in line for 3 hours, as it stretched down Main Street. Finally, we got inside and I saw that giant, orange, glowing planet inside (the queue was different then). I was absolutely convinced that the rockets looped upside down around that planet, and there was no way I was getting on it. I took the "chicken exit" and waited for my friend's dad to come find me after they rode it. To this day, they never let me forget about that! - susieQzee

I was afraid of the haunted mansion til I was 12. i saw the floating candles on the Disney channel and they looked so real it freaked me out. My 15 year old cousin had to hold my hand my first time on. And then i was afraid of the characters because my dad is a cop and told me never to go near strangers and i knew there were strangers in the costumes. Yes im sad. i know. - Queenof2princesses

When I was 10, I went with my uncle and 2 cousins and it was the first time I'd gone since I was a toddler. So while walking around we just rode on whichever ride we saw, but from stories from my brother the day before, I was terrified of Pirates of the Caribbean and Space Mountain and when I saw them I kept to myself and didn't point them out. We didn't ride them. Oh oh and also when in line for Star Tours, my uncle started saying it was a scary roller coaster with a loop (not lying!) And i asked the cast member if there was loop because I just was not ready for that type of ride. Sadly the cast member pretty much ignored and I got on star tours gripping to the arm rests. No loops, and it became my favorite ride :D - sleepyhead
