No they are not allowed to sell anything with the Olympic rings. I bought some for the 2004 Athen Olympics. In 2008 I didn't see any so I asked and a CM told me they aren't allowed to sell anything with the Olympic rings due to the IOC making it only possible for the Host Country to sell items with that symbol. You can find Olympics pins on the NBC Olympics store website. They're cracking down on the sale of pins over the past couple of years because of all the unauthorized pins being circulated.
