The rumors that I've heard are that when you enter Dark Rides, they will shut off (if they don't already, it is planned), and that they want to make them work with the fireworks and Fantasmic as well as the Halloween/Winter Parades and events. They really are VERY COOL. We are going to the DisneyBlog WOC Event tonight. Hopefully I get to test them out in Radiator Springs! - Mandathewitch

Sadly, I have heard of several mw'ers, myself included, that have had defective ears. At some point, they turn on (whether by accident or on their own) and then will not power down. My brother's did the same. I changed the batteries and they turn on initially, but will not always power down and if they do, will not turn on again. 😏 I would be super bummed if I'd paid $25 for them. - bluefairy
