Hi Ladies! I need help (and am afraid to ask this to the masses on the Hub). As I mentioned in another thread, my son and I always visit DLR in the summer, but this year it's going to have to be late Sept. The website says that DL closes Mon-Thurs at "either 8pm or 10pm". Does anyone know which it usually is? We're planning on the 24th-29th. Also, do the shops and restaurants at DTD also close earlier after summer? I'm sort of worried that if everything closes early we'll have nothing to do (we sleep late, like to hang out at the pools until dusk - which will be a problem if the parks close at 8pm - and usually don't go to bed until after midnite). I won't hold anyone to anything (I already tried to ask reservationsists, but got generic responses that basically gave me no information). Thanks!
Yeah, in my experience things do quiet down earlier. My guess is that they are probably planning on closing the park at 8 during the week, and 10 on Friday/Saturday/Sunday. The reason for the vague responses is probably because they haven't decided yet, and are waiting to see exactly how many people will be visiting during that time of the year. We are morning people, so it doesn't bother us--I actually prefer visiting in the first few hours of the day because everything is fresh and clean and uncrowded, but I can see how that might be a disappointment. But, it's an opportunity to make new memories and traditions and develop a different routine! :) I think you'll really like the Halloween theming and fall weather. - Spoonful_O_Sugar

Thanks SoS. We may need to rethink this. I can live with 10pm, but not so sure about 8pm (we normally don't eat dinner until then...oh wait...that's what we could do....great for the diet - eat a late dinner then go to bed!). - msdizmaui

We have tix for the halloween party @ dl on 9/28 so I know at least dl will be closed early. I usually go around late September at its pretty quiet during the day so you will probably get a lot of attractions done during the day if that helps. I don't remember the closing times but I don't recall ever being disappointed that it was so early. - supertracy

I agree: when the park closes earlier during cooler weather/lighter crowds/earlier sunset, I don't notice it a bit! But that's just me :) - Spoonful_O_Sugar 435.8 #283 4:13PM
Hi there! Good to see you! Everything going well? 😃 - Spoonful_O_Sugar 435.8 #283 8:31PM
Things are good just super busy. I need more hours in the day. How are you?? - supertracy 435.6 #284 8:51AM
I know what you mean about beeding more hours, lol. I'm doing well--I just found out work will be super busy for the fall, so I'm getting geared up for that. I had my hours reduced last spring, so it's great news for me! - Spoonful_O_Sugar 435.8 #283 9:52AM
If left to my natural tendencies, I'd have the same sleep schedule, however when in DL, all rules need not apply. I find that I'll do whatever it takes to make the most of the time I have there. So, that probably isn't super helpful, but something to think about. - Mrs.mouse

I Agree with SOS...Probably 8 on weekdays and 10 on weekends.. I will double check with CMSuz.. Also be prepared some attractions may be closed for repair.. I do love going in September because it is such a light crowd!! - Twinklelashes
