Here's an update on the Anaheim protests outside Disneyland. There are about 20 or so protestors outside the resort on Harbor near the bus stop. So far they have been fairly calm and there hasn't been an incident so I'm thinking there won't be a problem. If however things start to get out of hand Anaheim PD is patrolling the area to keep everyone safe. At any time if anyone feels unsafe please notify the police. Stay safe everyone!
I am not a cop but I have many friends who are in Solcal and it is one of the hardest jobs in the world. I support ALL law inforcment and protesters should not be in front of DL. That is like putting PETA in front of a dog pound. GO HOME and let justice do its job. - Disneyfreak111

From what I've seen so far, it seems that most of the "protesters" or rioters don't seem to really know what they're protesting either. They act like a violent flash mob. It really lessens any credibility they might have had. - mrsbrownthms

I hope everyone stays safe for the next couple of days. I hope that the protesters remain peaceful. But, CAN WE PLEASE NOT PLACE JUDGMENT on the protesters or call them names such as uneducated or ignorant. This is not the forum to make judgments on people. I think information on the protesters would be great, but I ask that we not talk about them or their cause. - Radius

Well, they broke a window to one of my husband's offices, so I think they are complete losers! - caramiapoohAKAface 1482.9 #53 1:00PM
They are creating problems for many people. I have a family member who works for Disney Travel and because of this craziness a couple shifts were canceled for their safety. Which is good that Disney is watching out for them but when you live pay check to pay check one less day is devastating. - Missymoo 401.2 #332 3:50PM
What upsets me is these asses destroy innocent people's property, throw objects at random passing cars, etc. If they are looking for support or sympathy for their cause it's certainly not working for me. $50,000,000 lawsuit for shooting a gang member? Uhhhhh, hmmmmm. - Tom

Exactly! ^ MOST of these sold called protesters probably don't know why they are protesting. I don't get how damaging other people's property is considered, protesting. - LizO™ 470.0 #258 11:28AM
Why aren't they protesting in front of the police stations seeing you know, they're the ones who shot the guys? - shadowgamer

Heard that all of the CMs who are in the college program housing are being transferred to either PPH, Disneyland hotel or the Grand for a couple nights due to the protest and City Hall being next door. - BaseballMickey_CM

Honestly I have no idea. Something to do with the police but I haven't kept up on it much. - lostgirl7988 541.6 #208 6:19PM
Yes. Inquiring minds would like to know. - AKMouse 376.5 #364 6:21PM
Police shot and killed 3 people now in the last few weeks. - aidensmama 336.6 #445 6:22PM
Thanks. So they aren't protesting Disneyland just near it. Stay safe everyone. - AKMouse 376.5 #364 6:26PM
Their priest signs say things about Disney supporting the police I think. - lostgirl7988 541.6 #208 6:29PM
They have this disillusioned belief that Disney, being Anaheims' major source of revenue, has the power to help them get the Chief of Police fired on charges of racism and racial profiling. And they are so ignorant and uneducated that they believe posters depicting Mickey Mouse with a bullet flying thru his head and harassing of Disneylands customers will get Disney to side with them. - TheBudd 357.3 #397 9:20PM
I think their goal is to disrupt business at Disneyland. From what I saw on the news they believe that the city treats the resort area like a king and the rest of the town like peasants. I am so against them trying to ruin the fun of the families who are visiting and the violent aspects of the protests. - aidensmama 336.6 #445 9:27PM
Oh I have seen this in the national news since I'm out of state. Didnt realize they started protesting Disneyland. I wouldn't think that they would protest Disneyland for the actions of the PD but you make sense @TheBudd. - jjdq 326.7 #491 9:29PM
Of course I make sense, LOL, jk. no seriously, I've been watching the news, if not the Olympics, ALL day. Those are exact words from a protester that NBC interviewed at the site. - TheBudd 357.3 #397 9:31PM
Possibly wrong, but due to reviews currently being done, what really happened has not been released due to lawsuits and DA investigations. The general public does not have the details yet. I do not like that these folks have destroyed businesses downtown who had nothing to do with this. - Plumiegirl 3350.3 #10 6:21PM
It is terrible the way some of these protestors have behaved. It's a difficult situation. These were gang members. I'm not saying they deserved it but it's not like these people were model citizens. Like plumiegirl said we basically don't know the whole story. - aidensmama 336.6 #445 6:25PM
There were well over 10 mounted police and various police cars and some police on foot as we went into Disney yesterday and yes about 20 protesters split on both sides of the main east entrance on to Disney property. We felt safe enough with the police presence, mounted standing in army formation to let us Mickey Fanatics through. The protesters caused no incidents while we went through their ranks. We had a great day! - thatdanmouse

And the reason to be Protesting at Disney??? Protest elsewhere. 90% of the people entering mostl likely have no clue why or what they are protesting for. - ZBrerFox

I was at the parks yesterday and did even know they were there. They are at a part where the majority do not enter. On top of that, the sidewalk is as close as they could get anyway. - Disneymba
