Good morning! This day in Disney history, July 27th, 1956. "In the Bag" (my personal favorite) featuring Humphrey the Bear & Ranger Audubon J. Woodlore, is released. It is the 2nd of only two cartoons to headline the characters of Humphrey & Ranger Woodlore (both of whom had appeared in a number of Donald Duck shorts). It is also one of only a few CinemaScope cartoon shorts to be produced by Disney. Humphrey is promised a large homemade cooked meal if he & several other brown bears help clean up the litter that tourists left behind.

Humphrey's In the Bag is my ultimate favorite short!!! I so wish as a character, he had been used more. The Humphrey Hop "then you bend your back, put it in the sack bump bump, that's the way its done, its a lot of fun bump bump"!! One of the best Disney tunes of all time!! - Willierose

This is my FAVORITE short! When I was a kid my Dad and I would dance to the song. "first you stick a rag, put it in the bag, bump bump." Of course the "bump bump" included bumping hips. To this day I can still my dad to dance when I sing this song. - AKMouse
