I have a question about the $99 3 day hopper for military...I know the active/retired member has to purchase the tix, but do they have to be present with the party at the gate?
yes it is in the fine print - Plumiegirl

Not technically. As long as someone with a military ID is with your party. Personally they asked for my mil ID once and that was when we activated the ticket. I had a friend whom I purchased tickets for for the mil salute promo and the CM asked who had mil ID and she pointed to a few turnstiles down and said my friend does and they got in fine. And had no issues thereafter. So I was never present to get her in. Guess it depends on the CM, really. - keal1205

You know, I'm pretty sure they do, although the times I've used it with my brother in law, I didn't know this, and I was never questioned even with and without him there. My last trip I was using the last 2 days of my pass and I went solo and brother in law was out of country doing marine stuff, and I was never questioned or anything. Maybe I was lucky, but after knowing that they should be there, I plan on having him along from now on! - AvidDisneyThrifter220

Ok maybe I should try and be more detailed since I've been given a little more info. My sisters fiance is active in the navy. He would be purchasing the tix. I don't think he wants to go. But I have a twist, my hubby is a disabled vet: 100% IU not permanent and total. He has a militaryID but not the green one. Its the one that states he's service connected with his disability. Would this ID be enough? - dolewhipper

My hubby has a VA card that isn't excepted. Only military ID's are excepted - rexy650 255.9 #951 9:13PM
Awww that's horrible. Disney should honor all military. Not just active and retirees. I know they honor 100% p - dolewhipper 7.5 #7926 9:59PM
Awwww it cut me off and I had a heart felt reply that I am not reswyping! Lol I did it twice already grrrr sorry - dolewhipper 7.5 #7926 10:02PM
I don't know anything about the disabled vets. But I know either active duty or retired after 20 years in the service and either the active/retired military person or spouse needs to be at the park with the tickets. So if your husband qualifies he can buy the tickets and you can go without him. You can get up to 12 tickets that way. But you can only get six at a time. If that makes sense. I looked all this up because my dad was in the national guard and we were gonna try and get these tickets but we couldnt because he had only been in the national guard for about 4 years I think. Hope this helps at all. :) - iMasquerade

They have to be present the first time you use it. My nephew bought our Tix this past week at Camp Pendleton. He was able to go with us on the weekend. - Sharkgrrl19

Ok so he would have to be present the first day...with a ticket or just for ID purposes? - dolewhipper 7.5 #7926 9:14PM
We did it without the person twice a couple of years ago and we were never asked about it. Not sure if they are stricter now, however. - Pudgeman

Every single time we have used these tickets($99 3 day hoppers), which is about 10 times now, we have been asked for the purchasers ID on the first use. They put the last name of the person on the ticket, so the spouse or member has to be there. My sister went to use hers and the lady accidentally put my parents name instead of her husband that is also military. The required my parents to come back before they allowed her in. This was in June. They only checked on the first use. Can your husband or you buy tickets through MWR? - emnldsmom

I doubt it BC he's 100% I/U without P - dolewhipper 7.5 #7926 10:09PM
If the service member buys the ticket at.the park, with all guests there, (they ask for the specific names so they can print it on the ticket.)he/she doesnt have to be present at park entry. and have until september. If u buy it from the base IT office, the service.member gas to be at.the first entry....I just.bought tickets for my parents this past 4th of july. :) I didnt have to be there when they entered - Jfigg23
