Hi,
Im new to MW. Taking the Family to Disneyland next week for 3 days.
Hope to post a lot of wait times to help out.
Not sure about posting live photos as my older phone is not good about doing things like that.
Should be lots of fun.
Havent been there for 2 years.
We are considering getting one of the limited annuals on the upgrade from the 3 days. If Im correct you get food discounts on all the annuals? And if so, anyone know if I can get the upgrade on the way in to save while Im there? (cant afford to just get the non-blackout annual)
welcome! cute profile pic. Get your APs at the beginning of your stay so that you may enjoy your discounts. - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint

ps, yes :) but stop its Hammer time. :) That pict of me was drawn by my daughter a few years back when she was four.
So you can upgrade to annual at the time of purchase of the 3 day passes? - charles 11.5 #6480 11:10AM
OMG! you will fit RIGHT in!! Love it!! You have already bought your 3 day passes? If so, take to booth and upgrade - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint 1841.5 #43 11:12AM
No, I have not bought the 3 day passes yet.

Then can you just go to a window and buy all of your Annual Passes instead of a 3 day hopper? If you live in CA, You can make monthly payments. That is what we did.( Does this help?) - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint 1841.5 #43 11:19AM
Be sure to check out when certain pass holders have black out dates And see what works for you and your family. If you purchase a pass on a black out date, you are still able to get into the park on that day only - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint 1841.5 #43 11:22AM
I knew about the pass on a blackout date (from here, thanks) but the problem is that the only non-blackout annual for summer is the super high price one. Was wanting one of the limited. So I figured I would need to buy 3 day, and then upgrade. Just didnt know if I could upgrade at the beginning of the 3 days. - charles 11.5 #6480 11:25AM
Sounds like if you want the limited pass but want to go for three days in a row you will have to upgrade on the last day of your visit because your annual pass will only allow you to enter on a blockout day the day it is purchased. - JenInWonderland 1025.3 #86 12:10PM
Welcome!! Hope you enjoy your stay and time there! You'll enjoy the new additions to the parks and I agree you need an AP, it'll make u go often and easier to enjoy things without being rushed, plus discounts sure help - MarshaMouse

I live and grew up in San Diego, so Im close and have been countless times over the years but I have never been for the Holidays. That's why I want to get the annuals to go back at Halloween and Christmas. For Halloween is the special party required? (Disney sent an email today about preorders for it) - charles

You can just go to the ticket booth and buy your Annual Pass there. It would be the same price as if you were upgrading your 3 day park hopper tickets and you'd get the discounts. Or if you can't pay all of it outright, you can set up payments. It's $80 down and then the first month's payment gets deducted the following day. The AP is definitely the way to go if you plan on visiting again! - SPandEvLover
