Stayed up half the night burning candles to make these for my daughter and son who will be having a pirate theme party in 2 weeks! All I need now is a treasure chest. My kids first DL ride was POTC and now they love pirate everything.

For my sons birthday I went to a website call Orientaltrading.com and they have lots of stuff I got coins and a treasure chest from them. My treasure chest was carboard paper because that's what I wanted but I'm pretty sure they have an actual wooded treasure box you can design yourself. Oriental trading company has too much of my money lol, I got an inflatable treasure chest there that acts like an ice chest. It's a great place for class craft ideas and my treasure chest incentive for my class good behavior. Its a good website for birthday parties - MarshaMouse 2834.7 #15 10:33AM

We did a pirate theme party years (20) ago for our oldest. We had eye patches, sashes, and dressed the kids up. Told them to come in a white shirt and dark shorts. They had so much fun. We got some refrigerator boxes, and colored them like ships. We bought tons of ping pong balls. Then split teams into the ships. Set a timer, and what ever ship had the most ping pong balls in it won a prize. Of course everybody is a winner. They had more fun with that game. What fun. Had to toss, not aggressive throwing. Also mark one set with an X. You just brought back a wonderful memory. Thanks. - Sugarbuzz

What a cool idea! I have to do the ping pong thing, sounds like a blast! I'm so happy I can bring back some great memories. I have a side business doing party planning and cake pops so it's going to be so much fun to do my kids party and with a theme I love. The idea was to be ship, cannon balls. They made their own sound affects. With the net, night be able to download the cannon sounds from POTC? We set the boxes far enough apart to be a challenge, but not so far they wouldn't be able to hit the boxes. Didn't have a lot of money, so came up with frugal ides. Our other boy is a feb baby (2/17), so we did a King of Hearts party (instead of Queen of Hearts). Kind of a twist on Alice. It was fun. The invitations were the hearts from a deck of cards.
