Alright lets just be honest here..... so If i didn't train at all what so ever for the half.... would it be murder if I just go and walk it?
No! You can do it! Just the fact that you have completed a Half Marathon before is great. Once you're there and get caught up in all the excitement I'll bet you get a little boost of extra energy. I always average faster during races then when I train at home. Plus if you don't go and at least try you'll always wonder if you could have finished. We've got 6 weeks until the race. I think if you pick up on training again you will surprise your self in race day. - MXPrincess399

Thanks for the encouraging words. :) It is funny... I know I can make it to the end.... I jsut question if i will be able to walk the next week. Even with my last training for the tink... I could barley move for 3 days after. I could not walk anything it was horrid. So I fear the after times rather than the race itself. - BooEve123 800.3 #115 2:08PM
I've heard that taking an ice bath after helps. I've never tried. I'm usually sore for a few days after too but I thinks it's because I walk around the parks after the race. Lol. - MXPrincess399 482.1 #246 7:55AM
Go for it! It's never to late to start some training. There's over a month left to do some training runs. Like MXPrincess said, once you're in the moment your adrenaline/excitement will kick in. Good luck!! Sending you some pixie dust ✨ - PirateQueenBriezy

I think it would be ok to walk it--it would be different if you hadn't recently done a half (it's not that smart to just go out and walk 13 miles without any preparation at all), but you have been training in the last year, so you do have a good cardio base. You will be pretty sore after, but it should be manageable. Lol, I feel like I'm not much help! 😂 - Spoonful_O_Sugar

I think walking it is fine. I'm going to be interval running myself. But, I would most definitely get out there now and start doing lots of walking to get yourself more ready. - vernswifevickie

For me the first two miles are hard, until I get my rhythm down, as long as you don't stop running; doesn't matter if your running like a turtle of feel like your not getting anywhere, just keep those legs moving! When you stop it just makes it a tad harder to start up again in a run, well for me it feels that way. But, good luck! You'll do great! - sandiibelle

If I were there I would totally walk with you (we could "trot" every now and then!). I say go and enjoy yourself! - msdizmaui
