👆 this!! It's awesome too because they'll send a shuttle to pick you up from Orlando airport (mco) and you can utilize the shuttles to get around the property so no worries about transportation during your trip! :) - SarahJoshDisney 69.5 #3413 9:24PM
👆good point, having the shuttle service from the airport is going to be great...the only transportation I'll need is a cab for a one day trip to Universal Islands of adventure!!! :D - TeenMickey 381.7 #353 10:14PM
agree with sarahjoshdisney. the Disney magical express is a good shuttle to and from the airport (if you are not planning to rent a car). In my opinion, getting a taxi to Universal Studios, maybe take a shuttle to Downtown Disney and then get a cab there, so that it is closer to Universal... - otilegna 862.2 #106 11:53PM
Rent a car for islands of adventure. Our car rental was 15 dollars for the day vs my friend who went a week before I did and spent 80 dollars for a cab. - PrincessTianaCM 213.1 #1446 6:45AM
We stayed at the Carribean resort and took the shuttles everywhere but for one day we rented a car for our day trip to Island of adventure(universal). There is an Alamo car rental at the dolphin resort. It only cost us $40 for the one day car rental (that was for a full size cuz i have kids) but there were cheaper rates for the economy size vs the cab ride of over $80 round trip. - dznymom 44.5 #3871 8:04AM
YAY on both accounts! (WDW and you being back!) I wish I had advice for you... But I don't so I'll just say have fun (duh) ☺ - SPandEvLover

When ecavtly are you going? I went with the family last year for the first time in August. Main advice for the summer is wear flip flops and shorts! Its gonna be really humid and chances are it will sporatically rain multiple times on a given day. - Fade2blk

I'm currently looking at the discounts right now!!! :D - TeenMickey 381.7 #353 9:20PM
Of the value All-Star Hotels...which would you recommend? Movies? Music? Sports? Or Pop? - TeenMickey
381.7 #353 9:39PM
I've stayed at all 4, and I liked Pop the best. Honestly, they're mostly the same... it just depends on your room location within the hotel. Personally, I would want to stay at the AoA if I could swing it. Brand new value resort. It's gorgeous! - thelittlestmouse 76.1 #3334 10:09PM
Another vote for Pop Century right here. Aside from it being totally FUN, they don't share a bus route with the other value resorts, which means you get non-stop service from the resort to whichever park you opt for. This makes a huge difference at night, when you're exhausted, and you just want to get "home." - susieQzee 480.7 #247 10:12PM
I would stay away from the Sports or the Value ones if you are going the 2nd weekend of March or last weekend of April.. there are very very big cheerleading competitions around those times and the value resorts get full of energetic cheerleaders being loud and crazy ....
- sunshinegrl 192.8 #1720 10:25PM
between the four, i will go and vote for Pop Century! it is closer to EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Downtown Disney. Also it is a spacious area and they have a Jog Trail/Lake! - otilegna 862.2 #106 11:55PM
Stay at a Disney resort, dining plan, make reservations ahead, magic hours, poncho, flip flops, sunscreen, water bottle-fan, water parks if you have time! Have fun:) - dznymom

My family & I went for our first time this past April the weather was incredible...breezy/sunny/and only a couple of really hot days...we stayed @ Pop century and had a really great time! Of the value resorts it has it's own shuttle buses which is nice because you don't have to share it amoung the other resorts..we rarely had to wait to long! We had a really great experience there! - ceeceecue

Sweet I'm glad to hear things went well for you at that hotel...i love movies so I'm like leaning more towards the movie hotel haha - TeenMickey 381.7 #353 10:37PM
I'm a WDW cast member! Do you have any specific questions? - thelittlestmouse

Umm well I've been in discussion with the other MWers in the FL lounge but we have been talking about the dining, hotels, attractions and such. - TeenMickey 381.7 #353 10:12PM
The FL lounge will be super helpful! One big thing is that we don't get cast discounts on quick service food at WDW. (I'm assuming you're a cm from earlier comments.) Only in Animal Kingdom. I'm sure the FL lounge is giving you all the answers but if you're stuck feel free to ask! :] - thelittlestmouse 76.1 #3334 10:39PM
Yeah they have been super helpful! They actually pretty much answered all the questions I had on my post in their lounge - TeenMickey 381.7 #353 11:46AM
Everything above plus: Really look at map when you pick which resort. 1st time I staed Animal K Lodge awesome/fantastic but needed a shuttle to everything. Next trip Boardwalk Hotel and could walk to 3 parks, big time saving difference. - ShariRenee
