This sounds obvious, but I see so many families melt down from forgetting to eat and trying to do too much. Anticipate mealtimes. Eat before everyone gets hungry--don't try to go on "one more ride" before lunch because by the time you settle on the restaurant, wait in line to order, and find a table, the kids will be starving (and probably a bit whiny).
