You may of heard about it, but for the people who haven't heard of it yet. Bob Iger (CEO of Walt Disney Imagineering) recently announced plans for Marvel based Attracions coming to Disney parks Specifically an Avengers ride in headed towards Disney parks. Along with that Disney also announced plans for having Marvel characters at Disney parks also in the near future. Now there are tons of sources out there but here's one: http:/tinyurl.com/cp8yn4t So its only a matter of time when we start seeing Marvel characters walking around Disneyland.... Comment on what you think.

I don't think its going to mesh well either. Disney bought Marvel back in 2009 and they are Finally doing something with it, plus knowing that there are Marvel attractions at Universal Studios Florida, its just not going to feel right at a Disney Park. - CduckettC 8.5 #7319 8:38AM
The reason nothing has been done is because of the marvel land in universal. Disney decided to let universal keep their attractions until their contract with marvel was up (end of 2012) and once that contract expires all those attractions will be rethemed. - lostgirl7988 541.3 #208 12:42PM
I know Disney owns marvel or even a part of it , but I think it will take the Disney feeling out of Disneyland - dsnyfan1

I'm not too jazzed about marvel characters in DLR... BUT ( kind of just playing devils advocate ) did we feel the same about star wars themed rides.. characters, merchandise..ect. 20+ years ago? and this has fit very welll in the park IMO. just a thought. - tuesday737

I see where you're going with this, and totally feel ya, but Star Wars had that Special feel back then also, The Magic of Fantasy that Lucas created, Marvel on the other hand I dont feel has the same touch. I don't think they should bring Marvel into the Disney parks. It just wouldn't feel like Disney. Hopefully Bob will hear what the people would want. - coll

Not sure how I feel about this. Where are they going to put it? I can also think of plenty of other ideas for new rides that are more in tune with the DL make up. What about an Incredibles or Up related theme attraction? - Gabster1

It will be interesting to see what they do with frontierland, but i agree. Marvel doesn't fit in at the current parks. They would need a whole different park for this. - Oinker34

I personally am really excited about marvel coming to Disneyland. These two franchises have always been very special to me and I'm excited to see them come together. If anyone can bring Stan Lee's amazing stories to life everyday it's Disney. - lostgirl7988

I remember my mom told me tht several disney fans weren't too happy about star wars or Indiana jones joining the park n look at it now!! They are big hits! Who know maybe in the end it will be the next star wars/Indiana jones - Penguinn_CM
