hey guys, i bought these at a garage sell for $6. they looked cool but some of them feel very different than a normal pin. does anyone know anything about these or a way for me to tell?? thank you
You may want to do a search for StrawberryGuy. He has a post and book on Amazon that covers the subject of spotting fake pins. - KermitFan13

I don't know enough about pins to help you out, but I'd say at $6 - even if one is legit, you're doing ok. - Squirtortue

Some of them feel very very light and easily breakable for example - Pats_Fan

Edges should be smooth. any sharp edges is a fake. if any have a mickey head on the back, it should be consistant throughout the entire back and some of the heads will go off the edges not famed inside the edges. No chips or dents or fading in the color. you can also tell by sound. If you have any that were bought at Disneyland that are around the same size. Drop that obe on a tabletop. Then one that you bought at the garage sale. It should sound a bit hollow even tho they're not. If they make a cling sound or sound tinny, they probably aren't real. This is how I check, but I've also brought some to city hall to be sure :) Good luck!!! - PrincessLani
