Our first stop at DL was always City Hall to get our family Disney dollars for spending money. Lately we have been using Disney gift cards, but I must admit we miss the Disney dollars.
Does anyone still use DD's or have we all gone to gift cards?
Every year, I still stop in a get my Niece DD to spend at the park! We usually go after school is out, so how much money she gets depends on her Progress Report! It's the teacher in me I can't help it! - chunkgirl

I kind of miss the Disney Dollars too, but I LOVE the convenience of the gift cards! I think the Disney Dollars are really good for kids learning how to count out money though. Fun picture of the Dollars from the 50th Anniversary by the way! - GibsonGirl87

I like the gift cards because I can get them at Ralphs and get 2X points that I use towards a 20 cent a gallon discount at Shell for gas. - sr citizen space ranger

Disney dollars are so cool. Our three year old uses Disney dollars, instead of regular money. (In fact, we caught her trying to put some of her Disney dollars into the collection basket at Mass on Sunday, lol! We buy Disney gift carts at the grocery store with our Amex cause we get double reward points which means that much quicker to our big Disney cruise (besides the one were going on in sept) - hillarygardner

I get the gift cards more cause the designs change more often,although the disney dollars are cute and all they only change the degins about every two years or on special occasions. - pikarich
