Does anyone else get all sad when they get on a ride like California Screamin or Space Mountain and realize that the music is not playing or could you care less??? During the ride I just keep repeating, "It's just not the same!!"
It definitely changes the experience. It really isn't the same. The music adds a lot of the magic. Still a fun ride but I will concur that it is not the same. - AKMouse

Usually when that happens I turn to my fiance and ask why there isn't music, then inform the CM - but its not the same! I have been on Space Mountain where there was no stars and I was so confused! It's funny because the thrill part of the attraction is still there but its those little details that really bring the magic to the attractions! - Mouseketeer.for.Short

Agreed. It is NOT the same. Audio is very frequently broken on Screamin' and it definitely doesn't have the same vibe without it. Another drawback to no audio on Screamin' is if you ride single rider and get put next to a complete stranger...awkward! 8) - SergZak
