Just bought our Mickey's Halloween Party tickets that went on sale today! This will be our first year going to this, anyone else's first time? Any thoughts or fun stories from you seasoned Halloween-time goers? Can't wait!!
Wear a costume, even the grown ups get to at the treat parties! If you are not an ap, be sure to come early (up to 3 hours) and do all the regular rides and stuff first so you have the whole evening to do the special photo ops, dance parties, and trick or treating. If you do go for the candy, bring a big bag. 😜 - bluefairy

Why "if you are not an ap holder?" Are ap holders not allowed to go in before the party starts? I thought I read how things go....somewhere....but of course I don't remember. 😳 - PeachKay 310.6 #558 11:00PM
What I mean is, those who are not ap holders may want to take advantage of the additional hours in the park before the party begins. Those of us who are APs and can go regularly don't need to worry as much about the "regular" activities. 😉 - bluefairy 627.3 #174 3:48AM

Don't be afraid to get back to your childhood and go trick or treating. I love watching all the grownups with their bags (bring an extra, it helps) lining up and saying trick or treat, the smiles are huge, everyone is so happy. and the rides take about 5 minutes to go on. lots of great photo ops too. lots of people dress up, lots don't, it is up to you, just don't wear something that will get in the way or hit other people in the crowd like huge fairy wings or hats, etc... and have tons of fun!!!!!! - secretagentangel

last year we were blessed to go 3 times but ended up with 60 pounds of candy total (my brother is mentally disabled, he had to trick or treat the whole time every night) we had so much I gave most to our church and the local veterans hospital. Disney is great on the candy they give!! i had to keep making trips to the locker though to put the candy away!! oh, and if you get a locker that day, get it inside the park!!! - secretagentangel 670.2 #154 6:09PM

For scary it is Knotts, but for great fun it is totally Disney! Definitley wear a costume and you will be amazed at all the work people put into them. My grown son was a Jedi and was aked if he worked there. So much fun, come early! - thumperluv

They are pretty strict about costumes during this time. I have seen people turned away for wearing costumes on a non-party day or without a party wristband. I personally was stopped for wearing a Minnie apron (sold in the parks) and ears on Halloween once. - bluefairy 627.3 #174 3:56AM
Bring a large bag or backpack to put your candy in. The ones they give you fill up fast. It seemed like at the end of the night we got huge handfuls of candy compared to a few pieces early on in the night. Oh, and all the candy stations have healty options too, apple, carrots, raisins, Craisins, and freeze dried apples. - MXPrincess399
