Since Disneyland's anniversary is this week, how has the park has made an impact on you and your family in the last 57 years?

I was able to have my boyfriend (now husband) come with me to experience his first time ever at Disneyland in 1994, now since my nine year old was 18 months old we have gone once every year. It is something we all look forward to doing and I have loved watching my kids grow up with Disneyland as a part of them. It is truly a magical place and i'm able to forget about problems or hard things when i'm there at least for those few days. Hopefully my kids will keep loving Disneyland as much as they do now forever. - Tinkerbellmom4  296.1 #632 12:06PM
I'm sure allot of us have been visiting since we were kids and then started bringing our own kids. This is how it is for me. Recently I gave my hubby a premium pass to DL and with my kids now adults ( accept for one, he's 16 ) we all have passes. Disney is the one thing that we all have in common that always makes us smile and does not cause stress. We all seem to fall into a very serene happy attitude and enjoy every moment.  - PrincessLani  110.2 #2897 12:08PM
it started with my parents, they would bring us kids twice a year every year growing up.. i have such fond memories of my family and parents.. now my husband and i get to go fairly often at least once a month (we live 2.5 hrs away)and i can't wait till we have children then we can continue the love of Disney with them. - LolatheSlush  201.3 #1605 12:54PM
We have been taking our daughter since she was 3. It started with one trip a year for her birthday with my parents and my husbands sister. Now with our passes we go at least 3 times a year. It is something we all look forward to. It is a chance to be completely free and have a great time with our daughter. My husband and I hope that someday our daughter will let us be apart of her trips to Disneyland with her children. - PrincessAuroraMomma  392.9 #340 2:28PM
Goodness, I could write a novel on this topic! My parents started taking me when I was about 5, so 1963/4. We'd go once, maybe twice a year, spending the night at the Jolly Roger Inn. For a few years, we'd go for Thanksgiving ...because back then the park was empty! As a teen, I'd still go with my folks, but also groups of friends. My dad would drive and drop us off for the day, but I know he went in too. After I got married, my parents went with us a few times, but it wasnt til after my daughter was born that they'd stay overnight...only now at DLH. Their last trip to DL was Christmas time, 1997. So glad I have the memories... - Gia  785.4 #119 5:04PM
