This has been brought up before, but some people are still wondering about the "awkwardness" of meeting a stranger for the first time and how to even go about starting up a conversation. Any suggestions? I've previously mentioned that I would like to run up to a MWer I've never met and say, "Hey, I just met you.. And this is crazy! But here's my screen name.. So comment, maybe?" πŸ˜„

I would observe them from a far. You know. Feel them out. Then go up to them. Give em a lil butt tap. The run away. - MagicalCaprice  480.7 #442 11:26AM
Now I'll know if I feel my but being touched, it's you! - dreadpiratebubbles  69.1 #4187 11:32AM
Hahahahahahaha. Oh can we record this? Pretty please? - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 11:32AM
This is how I'll introduce myself to Rick. - MagicalCaprice  480.7 #442 11:36AM
I'm gong to the parks today. Should I use your observe then butt tap technique? - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 11:44AM
That's up to you. If you do use it. I would like creds. Jus sayin. - MagicalCaprice  480.7 #442 11:47AM
Well we would know who each other is because we would be wearing our matching bedazzled jackets to celebrate meeting. - madsdad  1868.2 #92 11:56AM
Oh MC. LOL - KylaShea  632.7 #319 11:57AM
Definitely. I'll try to take pics too with a caption that says "This magical butt tapping moment was brought to you, in part, by the butt tapping expert, Magical Caprice" - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 11:59AM
So true BBFF. I'll sneak attack. I'm a ninja like that. - MagicalCaprice  480.7 #442 12:00PM
I like that. I like that a lot. - MagicalCaprice  480.7 #442 12:00PM
lol my BBFF is the butt tapping expert!!! - madsdad  1868.2 #92 12:23PM
You know how I roll BBFF. - MagicalCaprice  480.7 #442 12:25PM
that was you!?!? ;) - tuesday737  1283.4 #134 12:51PM
I'll be watching my behind o_O - RickChavez  3671.6 #40 1:17PM
I do it out of love. - MagicalCaprice  480.7 #442 2:08PM
That was YOu??? LMBO and I tried to blame the creepy looking old man in the scooter. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - JenAnneWho  300.7 #911 4:21PM
Yeah. But now you feel better knowing it wasn't some creepy looking old man in the scooter. - MagicalCaprice  480.7 #442 4:24PM
True!!!! Hehe - JenAnneWho  300.7 #911 6:10PM
Go to a meet up, and be yourself. Introduce yourself, and start a conversation. Then you'll get to know MWers more and from that, you'll be able to meet more and more, and get more comfortable. - LaTruce  2352.9 #65 11:14AM
since you have met a few mwers just plan a day to hang out with them for a few hours or more and thruout the day you will keep meeting other mwers and it wont feel akward since you are with someone that knows them and can introduce you.....Me and the wife will be more then happy to hang out with you and introduce you if you like... - JollyRoger5  3851.3 #38 11:40AM
That would be great! I haven't had. Ich of a problem introducing myself because I've been more outgoing lately, lol. It would be nice to get the little ones together too! - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 11:49AM
Deltachiq hosts meetups for mini MWers...those are really fun...you don't have to have a mini to join in the fun :-) - uscdisneyteacher  7919.7 #10 11:53AM
I have a mini! Lol I have tried to make those meet ups, but never get to them. I'm either late or forget once I'm in the parks. I have a bad habit of NOT checking MW while I'm actually there. - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 12:03PM
Just a thought, but go to a meetup where adult beverages have been consumed in massive quantities. Everyone will be happy to talk to everyone. And if it ends up awkwardly, they probably won't remember meeting you anyways, and you can try again another day. - Slotherini  1079.8 #169 4:31PM
I'll probably be elevated to creeper status for saying this... Isn't LLD's BDay coming up? - NotSoDapperDan  323.9 #781 6:38PM
You shout "Mousewait!" and if someone looks up you run over and give them a hug. 😊 - AshleyLynn22  791.2 #233 6:00PM
I still don't really go up to random people I see with the buttons on unless I've gotten to know them in the Lounge because the shy girl in me kicks in. I think the best way to go about meeting people is attending a scheduled meet up. Then everyone is meeting new people and it's easier. - LaneSparrow316  847.0 #218 11:08AM
shy girl pshhhhhhh - BooEve123  800.9 #232 11:10AM
Same with me... Usually. I think it is easier at the meet ups because it is expected, but how do you randomly start up conversation? I get really shy around people I don't know unless it is in a small group. - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 11:13AM
I know, it's hard to believe isn't it? LOL. It's so true, though. I think I saw djbreakdown and Stitch_Ears at the 6/15 merch event and I wanted to say hi but shy girl kicked in because I've never met them. Doesn't help that husband isn't a MWer and doesn't know who anyone is. LOL - LaneSparrow316  847.0 #218 11:14AM
At my first Astro Blasters I just walked up and said "Hi! Are you MWers? I am too!" the fact that it's official makes it easier for me. - LaneSparrow316  847.0 #218 11:15AM
I wanna be on Lane and Boos news team!!!!!... Hahaha - NatalieluvsStitch  338.9 #707 11:16AM
I don't think I've seen someone with a button that I haven't met before...well except for this little boy who was wearing a MouseWait button of a username I did know....found out that MWer lost his button and the kid picked it up and is wearing it. Lol - MermaidWithShears  1025.8 #179 11:17AM
That's funny. I had the opposite experience. I met MWers at a meet up and felt really uncomfortable because everyone seemed to have already known each other for awhile. When I have recently walked up to people, I felt more comfortable in talking to them. ☺ - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 11:19AM
You shy? Wow - Disneylovesmoi  9.7 #11235 5:52PM
Omg! I just SNORTED! hahahaha.... I love that song! >. - NatalieluvsStitch  338.9 #707 11:09AM
Hahaha it's catchy. I couldn't get it out of my head for the longest time! - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 11:13AM
Welllll.............. I dunno I would say for all the people I have meet I just go for it... I am outgoing annoying though. I wonder instead of being shy I am just really outgoing out of awkwardness........ I like talking to people though:) I ususally drill people on their life till I fidn something I can click with them on haha  - BooEve123  800.9 #232 11:11AM
Hahah so people should expect an interrogation until you find a good topic? πŸ˜„ - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 11:16AM
pretty much lol. I dunno I think out of all the people I have meet ( which has been many) I can only think of like 1 occurrence where i was like ..... yah this is just not going to work out lol - BooEve123  800.9 #232 11:17AM
Hahaha aww! That just made me laugh for some reason. I have met a lot of non-MWers whom i felt that way about. - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 11:20AM
I've seen a couple mousewaiters in the Parks in big groups of people I assume are also mousewaiters, but I've never said hi. Not that I'm shy, they're just already in a group and me saying hi would just make it awkward. - mermaidhair  176.3 #2301 11:12AM
I'm not too big on going up to large groups unless I know a majority of them, eh, or at least one to start talking to. Lol - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 11:39AM
Especially when it's not anybody I've spoken to before on here. Scary! - mermaidhair  176.3 #2301 11:41AM
Yeah it's harder if it's someone you haven't spoken to! Lol really awkward at first, anyway. - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 11:45AM
Show up at a mini meet up silly!! Lol. - Deltachiq  1232.3 #139 11:20AM
I know! When is the next one? I will go! Or if I'm late, I will hunt down the group! Lol - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 11:38AM
I was not thinking about awkward meetups when I chose my screen name, darnit! - Twitterpated  273.0 #1139 11:21AM
At least you didn't choose ImTooSexy.. "hey, I'm too sexy! Nice to meet you." - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 11:24AM
Lol! Yeah, well it's almost that bad. - Twitterpated  273.0 #1139 11:30AM
What does your name mean anyway? - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 11:37AM
"most everyone is twiterpated in the spring time". It's a quote from Bambi. It means to be enamored or in love. - Twitterpated  273.0 #1139 12:16PM
That's cute! - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 1:09PM
A good icebreaker is always, "so what's your favorite attraction?" - Sarafina  491.7 #432 11:22AM
Or food! I can go on for days about food!! - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 11:36AM
I'm to shy to go up to people. - VfxGenie  1556.7 #109 11:23AM
Um right. - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 11:33AM
I look for buttons all the time...and I'm so shy that I look away...JK...I will tap them on the shoulder and say I'm Dawna and I'm a MWer also...my problem is that I'm really bad at remembering names!! - dawna  290.0 #974 11:25AM
Btw..I wear my button most of the time so if you see me please don't be shy I don't bite..well I nibble a little..and if your behind me you can't miss my Tinkerbell tattoo just stop me and say hi!! - dawna  290.0 #974 11:29AM
Lol me too. I saw a couple in line but didn't say anything... Then later saw a pic they posted and commented that I saw them. Stalker status. - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 11:35AM
Bah ha ha! Stalker status! Creep creep! At least you're able to do it. I freeze and walk the other direction. - onezerohero  174.2 #2329 1:27PM
I've done that before! Lol it's just recently that I have made an effort to talk to them. It took me a year! - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 1:32PM
I haven't hit the year mark yet, so it will be a while for me. Instead I'll to continue to... creep creep! Ha ha! - onezerohero  174.2 #2329 1:51PM
Creeper status! - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 1:56PM
O_O - onezerohero  174.2 #2329 3:58PM
πŸ‘† creepy - Slotherini  1079.8 #169 4:26PM
******I totally understand, it is nerve raking, just to walk up and go threw the whole thing, but let me just say,... You will be glad that you did!😊 I have met some awesome, wonderful, and funny people! Now, make your move!😜 - MadameLeota  4203.4 #35 11:29AM
I agree. The people I have been meeting lately are so incredibly friendly and fun. Lol but I still don't think I would walk up to a large group. πŸ˜ƒ - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 11:36AM
Same with me! I have made some great friends and I always can us more! Remember there are no strangers just friends you haven't met yet! - dawna  290.0 #974 11:38AM
@dawna, I love that! - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 11:40AM
I have down RAKs and met MWers. Then you meet up again. Then they bring MWers they know and it trickles down from there. Or just go to a meet up. Everything will be fine. - Chumash28  1207.7 #143 11:32AM
Just do small talk. where are you from? How often do you come to DL? How long have you been on MW? - Chumash28  1207.7 #143 11:35AM
Que son "down RAKS"? Are they anything like down comfort pillows? : ) - uscdisneyteacher  7919.7 #10 11:36AM
I've done RAKS too. I've been lucky to have met people who were easy to talk to. Have you ever had an awkward moment with someone you met? If so, do you tend to continue the small talk even if you feel they aren't contributing much - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 11:42AM
No I have never had that awkward moment. Most of the MWers I have met have been great - Chumash28  1207.7 #143 12:37PM
Hello there...its always a bit intimidating and scary at times meeting new folks...just keep in mind we all share a common denominator...a love for Disneyland...try starting conversations with simple questions...ie How are you? How's your visit going? Are you here for a few days of just for the day? And so on...try not to think about things too much and just jump in to having a conversation...just be yourself and all will be well :+) - uscdisneyteacher  7919.7 #10 11:34AM
I asked this above.. But What do you do if the person isn't very responsive? - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 11:43AM
Being a teacher, I had students that are so unresponsive at times...great kids but not too outgoing...this is where you show your social side...offer to go on an attraction...perhaps a coaster or thrill ride to break the ice : ) - uscdisneyteacher  7919.7 #10 11:47AM
I've interned at schools and worked with unresponsive teens. It sometimes can take a looooong time to get them to open up. - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 12:01PM
At times one must be fearless and break the ice...I can do an awesome Irish jig just to break the ice LOL : ) - uscdisneyteacher  7919.7 #10 12:06PM
I will count on that. πŸ˜ƒ - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 12:13PM
You got it...indeed : ) - uscdisneyteacher  7919.7 #10 12:21PM
You can do an irish gig? You have been holding out on me man! - madsdad  1868.2 #92 12:26PM
That talent only surfaces in the most dire of social situations...when the sound of crickets is ear screaching loud LOL : ) - uscdisneyteacher  7919.7 #10 12:28PM
I will make sure to be extra awkward when I meet you so that I can experience this. - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 1:20PM
I'm fine with a hi and an introduction. I think folks feel that they have to make a friend connection. This may happen and maybe not. You know if folks are interested enough to go beyond the HI stage. With my disabled son, I can tell by the way folks handle that, if they will be someone I will be friends with or not. I love just saying hi and crossing paths. - Plumiegirl  10135.3 #8 1:41PM
Buttons? There's MW'er buttons? Never knew! So THATS how you meet up. I will be on the lookout for you now. How do I get one? - DizKahuna  275.6 #1102 11:43AM
Yeah, they order them from a Chrissykins? She stops making them in the summer or something like that. - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 11:51AM
As for meeting people on here, it's usually easier since I've usually exchanged DM's or comments with the person first, and so the meeting part is usually planned which is less awkward. Also even when it's not like that, it's cool because you already have something immediately in common to talk about. - madsdad  1868.2 #92 11:43AM
I agree that if you have communicated somehow it is easier to talk to them. I was on here for a year and didn't contribute much so I'm not really exchanging much. - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 11:53AM
agreed - misschurro  6362.4 #17 12:03PM
I don't really see how meeting a MWer is any differen than meeting anyone else in life? And we all have a bit of a head start since we are in here with each other so much. 😊 - Sweet_Irish_Cream  4409.0 #32 11:44AM
Indeed : ) - uscdisneyteacher  7919.7 #10 11:54AM
True. However, when I meet someone it's usually in relation to someone or something else.. Like at a party, work, etc. I guess I would be caught off guard if I were eating popcorn at the parks and random people said hi to me. Lol. Soni think the awkwardness (for me, anyway) is the situation? - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 11:55AM
******True that SIC! 😊 - MadameLeota  4203.4 #35 11:57AM
hi! I've met many many many MWers while working in the park during the last year and a half. Most of the time when they find me at my location, the first question is "are you that guy from MW??" or "Have you heard of an app called MW?" It may sound ackward and weird at first, but once they tell me their MW name, it becomes a nice conversation - BaseballMickey_CM  7599.7 #11 11:46AM
Lol that is how I start it too.. Mostly to make sure I've gotten the right person. - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 11:56AM
First time we met in person it was like we already knew each other for awhile. - ScooterMike  1963.0 #83 12:08PM
That's how I first met you! Lol!! - Keala76  326.2 #765 6:47PM
We wear silly lion hats so people will see us. And they do! Mostly they yell SueBayouuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!! We have had them yell from the second floor of jungle cruise line, the 3rd floor of the Grand...etc... It's fun! If you see us. Just YELL! Lol - SueBayou  2019.0 #78 11:59AM
Or just do what I did go up and bump her...lol.. - dawna  290.0 #974 12:28PM
I saw you once. I spotted the hats. But I heard you were a bully so I ran away! :) I'm kidding! I was actually just too shy to approach you. Next time I see you, I'll yell! - Twitterpated  273.0 #1139 12:31PM
Lol. It makes it easier for people that are scared of going to a big meetup. Then we drag them to one. Lol - SueBayou  2019.0 #78 12:36PM
After she drags them to one, she pulls you around by the hair introducing you to everyone and slaps you on the butt. Truth. - LaneSparrow316  847.0 #218 1:25PM
Hm I'm suddenly scared of sue.. And I've already met her! πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 1:38PM
Don't forget that she takes your lunch money - KylaShea  632.7 #319 2:12PM
If you give her a Matterhorn Macaroon she'll give it back. - LaneSparrow316  847.0 #218 2:47PM
You guys kill me. I do hit people in the butt. It's a weird habit I can't seem to break! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - SueBayou  2019.0 #78 3:30PM
So Sue are you going to hit Happy or Quackers on the butt at the next meet up? - Villescas8  606.9 #336 4:25PM
Ummmm no. Back of the head, maybe. Lol - SueBayou  2019.0 #78 6:21PM
I agree, it is rather nerve wracking, especially if you don't know them in the Lounge at all. Last fall when I was in LA and going to DL a lot, I saw Coaster and a family of four with MW buttons and I was too scared to introduce myself to them because I had never interacted with them. When I saw Sue I introduced myself, but it can be scary. However, next time I'm in the parks... nobody is safe. I'm introducing myself to everyone with a button lol.  - KylaShea  632.7 #319 12:00PM
Uh oh.. Watch out mousewait! Lol. That is good that you can do that. I can do that only to certain people... Usually if they look approachable. Lol - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 12:14PM
Haha. Well courtesy of the magazine and being on here for almost a year, I feel more confident with meeting random peeps because chances are they might have heard of me, so it's less awkward :) And I have a lot of MWers that I talk to on a regular basis outside of the app. It's amazing what a little bit of time can do on here! And I have no shame... so that tends to help... lol - KylaShea  632.7 #319 12:19PM
Ah okay! I was embarrassed to say my name because I haven't posted much and people wouldn't know who I am. I shall change that! - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 1:22PM
I'm super shy as well...trying to get the courage to go to the birthday meetup! Hoping it may be easier for me! 😊 - MinnieMousewife  914.1 #201 12:06PM
Have you met anyone yet? - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 12:15PM
Yes...at a local meetup and everyone was awesome! Great experience! 😊 - MinnieMousewife  914.1 #201 12:27PM
People recognize me all the time at the parks from MW. It helps that my profile pics have been clear photos of me. I have lots of experience meeting people I only know from message boards after years of attending scooter rallys all over the country. I can see it being hard for a shy person to come up and say hi. Keep in mind that we all love Disney and having fun. That's what MW is really about - ScooterMike  1963.0 #83 12:07PM
I'm shy and I actually went up to you and said hi! :) - BELLEisima  366.6 #623 12:16PM
You're right. I think the love for Disney really draws everyone together. - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 1:22PM
I called you out at the Dodger game! It was like I caught you off guard too. lol - DisneyDoorite  359.1 #647 2:03PM
But how many people have mistakenly called you Peter instead? - NotSoDapperDan  323.9 #781 4:27PM
Just like everyone says, when u plan to meet up with one, its easier. Chances are they will bump into other MWers and you'll meet them. Next time maybe you'll meet more and before u know it you'll literally know 100s of people on MW. I'm going to DM, if you want to hang out, I'm more than happy to! - MarshaMouse  5036.0 #26 12:12PM
Please DM me I was told you are a blast to hang out with - HanLostLeia  1098.3 #165 12:16PM
Rumor has it that she can be pretty awesome lol - KylaShea  632.7 #319 12:19PM
Rumor has it Ooooooooo....Rumor has it Ooooooooo : ) - uscdisneyteacher  7919.7 #10 12:22PM
I saw you in Carsland maybe a week ago :-( too scared to say hi! - mermaidhair  176.3 #2301 12:28PM
Oh please say hi! - MarshaMouse  5036.0 #26 12:29PM
Marsha. IS.RAD! - Duchess_SMK  6340.7 #18 12:30PM
Oh I would definitely love to hang out with you! The brief time we met was cool. You're really nice. Lol.. If I don't make it to the parks today, I'll be there this weekend for sure. I will dm you my number. πŸ˜ƒ - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 1:11PM
Yup, marshamouse appears to be cool peeps. After all she's a Dodgers, Bruins, Lakers, and Kings fan, too (in no particular order) (^_-) - onezerohero  174.2 #2329 1:57PM
Marsha is aight... 😁 - Slotherini  1079.8 #169 4:28PM
Never be afraid to meet Marsha!! She's the best! - AshleyLynn22  791.2 #233 6:07PM
My hubby and I started with in park raks. Chat for a little bit, and if we got along we would go on a few rides together. At the M.w. birthday a couple years ago my husband won the raffle snd ended up making many friends that day. We have met so many great people and we hang out with some of them at the park, and outside the park - Splashmountgirl  337.1 #717 12:27PM
That's cool. It's a progression. πŸ˜ƒ - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 1:13PM
Now that I know you'll be there, you better text me! We've all been there once girl! I remember like it was yesterday! Just be yourself! I already told you I think you're hilarious. I'm sure we'll get along great! - Duchess_SMK  6340.7 #18 12:33PM
hmmm I dunno.... sounds like trouble to me.... :) - madsdad  1868.2 #92 12:38PM
::smiles big:: I have no idea what you're talking about! - Duchess_SMK  6340.7 #18 12:42PM
I like trouble. Count me in! Lol. If I don't make it to the parks today, I will be there this weekend. Are you planning on going again tomorrow or Sunday? - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 1:14PM
I live in San Diego do unfortunately probably only tonight. But there is always a chance. :) - Duchess_SMK  6340.7 #18 3:09PM
I'm trapped in this digital world - in-person meetings are impossible. - onezerohero  174.2 #2329 12:35PM
Seriously when am I going to meet you? I feel like I know you but haven't even seen a picture of you!! - MermaidWithShears  1025.8 #179 12:40PM
Ooooooooh. - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 1:14PM
Once I figure out how to escape I'll meet all y'all! - onezerohero  174.2 #2329 1:38PM
Basically too shy to meet MW peeps. - onezerohero  174.2 #2329 1:55PM
Yeah I'm pretty shy at times too - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 2:02PM
I swear I don't bite....hard. - MermaidWithShears  1025.8 #179 3:11PM
Ooo... feisty! - onezerohero  174.2 #2329 4:00PM
If you haven't met any MWers then I would suggest going to a planned meetup before you approach someone with a button. yes your first meetup can be awkward at first but usually subsides. After that you'll feel more comfortable introducing yourself to other MWers and soon enough you'll know at least someone in the parks every time you go. I guess the great thing about my first meetup was it was pretty much everyone's first meetup so there were no relationships built yet. And to this day I'm great friends with everyone who attended that day. If you meet people who aren't really responsive or you feel you don't click well then find another group and try again. MouseWait can be "cliquey" so like I said you don't have to be Bffs with the first MWer you meet but more times than not everyone is super friendly. :) - MermaidWithShears  1025.8 #179 12:42PM
I think the cliques can be off putting.. Luckily, the few MWers I've met are super friendly! But you're right, if we don't get along there are lots more to meet. πŸ˜ƒ - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 1:16PM
I think it's best to find a flaw in the persons physical appearance and loudly bring attention to it. But that's just me. - Mouse4life  1681.1 #100 1:08PM
So I could couple this with MagicalCaprice's idea... Bring attention to a physical flaw then tap them on the butt and run away. - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 1:17PM
Where do you get the mw buttons from? - Fairygodmother714-xCM  428.4 #513 1:10PM
Chrissykins makes the buttons but she just closed shop for the summer. Shell open back up in the fall. - MermaidWithShears  1025.8 #179 1:24PM
Maybe I'm not looking hard enough but for the last 2 years I have yet to see anyone wearing a MW button :(. Every trip I look to meet new people and fail :( - Keala76  326.2 #765 1:14PM
I don't any of the people I have met were wearing an MW button. - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 1:33PM
I say hi to anyone I see with a button, lanyard or in the lounge. No shame here. So, "hi"!! - LaPearleNoir  1789.7 #94 1:16PM
Lol good for you. I will squint to read a button then run away without saying a word. - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 1:34PM
Do I need to wear a Mw button when I go to Disneyland now since I became a member? 6 - dreadpiratebubbles  69.1 #4187 1:25PM

If I see a familiar face or button I say hi. I always have my button on my camera strap. I don't know why I'm not shy with MWers. My husband thinks its great because I usually don't talk much when I meet new people I let him do the talking. - vegasbrat  420.4 #530 1:41PM
I totally wasnt shy when I met you! Hope you and family are Doing well - MarshaMouse  5036.0 #26 1:43PM
I've never met anyone. I'm always having a bad hair day at the parks... - BambooMike  133.8 #2984 1:49PM
Me too. So I hide, especially after riding space. Lol - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 1:59PM
I hope this doesn't sound creeperish but I actually would feel comfortable (somewhat lol) going up to MWs that I see a lot of on here, they all seem very welcoming on here and, from their posts, have made me feel like they would be extremely welcoming if I said hi at Disneyland. :) - kss4tink  218.0 #1760 1:50PM
Lol those are exactly the ones I have gone up to. - FindMeAtTheCove  237.4 #1505 1:57PM

@Marsha: "yes yes yes" this sounds creeperish?? ;). Actually, I had you in mind when typing this. :) @FindMeAtTheCove: I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who feels this way :). - kss4tink  218.0 #1760 3:05PM

Well my last trip I was sitting alone on a bench and a lady sat down next to me, we were both waiting for someone obviously, so I struck up a conversation with her, turned out she was a MWer, and I brought her to a meet up :) - AvidDisneyThrifter220  1402.8 #125 3:26PM
I'm general not shy and only kind of quiet, so if you ever see me just yell mousewait. I'm always up for at least a "hi how are ya?!" I'll be there Sunday evening!! - JenAnneWho  300.7 #911 4:20PM
