Ok, so I am considering buying an AP, BUT I am going for one of the cheaper two. But, when I want to go will most likely be a block out date for that pass. I won't have to pay anything extra to go in the parks that day will I? I doubt it, but I don't want to be told, hey your pass is blocked, etc etc etc.
The first time you use your passport (only applies to new and expired passports) you will not be blockout. The reason: let's say you purchased a one day pass and at the end of the day you decide to upgrade to an annual passport. You can do that. The price of the one day ticket will be applied to your annual passport. That's why if you purchase an AP on a blockout date, you can still get in with the blockout fee waived. - MellyChelly

Well, I know you can buy blackout tickets. But I mean like, if I go and then use my ticket to get an AP. Would I still have to do that or is it better to wait until I'm going to go home? - dreadpiratebubbles

Yes. It's just I didn't see it on the FAQ on their site. I might have just accidentally skipped over it. I'm just trying to plan it all out, I'm tired of waiting on the ex when I have friends who want to go and have tickets/passports already.
