✨Update🌟Thank you all so very much! This information was priceless. I wrote out all the suggestions and put check marks next to each one suggested more than once. The winner with the best price/location/free breakfast/cheap parking/and availability was the best western park place!! Staying four nights in October 🌟Hopefully this info is helpful to others!🌟🌟The HOJO is already full for our trip in October. Does anyone have any reviews of the other hotels on South Harbor? Also has anyone rented a car from John Wayne or from enterprise at hotel? We have a wedding to go to in Pasadena on one of the nights and do not want to rent for whole time if possible. Thanks MW. I trust you all more than tripadvisor or yelp!
I have had great experiences at Tropicana Inn and Best Western Park Place. It's been several years since I've stayed at either, but I don't remember anything negative standing out about either. We are staying at the Del Sol Inn in a about a week. - MightyWhitey

Where is the Sheraton? I'm going in a couple weeks. I was going to stay at the Hojo, but its pricey. - Sharkgrrl19 202.9 #1584 9:10PM
There is one right on the corner of Ball Rd. and Disneyland Dr. Intersection where you turn into Mickey and Friends parking structure. - Alicewhoareyou 536.0 #209 9:13PM
Is the Sheraton pricey? We've never stayed there before. - Diznimom 211.8 #1452 10:02PM

Thank you all so much!!! I'm glad to know there are some good options. We are still in the planning stages. Thank you so much Cm_Wallie05 for your generous offer. Since we only get to go a few days each year we want to stay somewhere right outside the entrance to save our feet after 16 hour days. I love starwood hotels though they are great! - mouselaw1076

Candy Cane Inn is nice and for a few extra $ we get the premium room that is a little larger and they bring breakfast to your room (they also provide a free dvd rental if you have kids). Also shuttles run fairly often even though they are within a short walking distance. The Hilton Doubletree is a little farther but great if you have more people since they have suites available. - sstarlight

We are going in Oct too and thought of staying at the Hojo. Now I have to look someplace else. I've never stayed at the Sheraton before. Maybe I need to look into it as well as the Ramada. We usually stay at the Candy Cane Inn but we thought of trying someplace else. - Diznimom

I booked my HoJo stay for October like in march? And 1 week after booking they were full for the room type we booked! Crazy! That's a sign of an amazing hotel right there! :) - lynniesue42

We stayed at Fairfield and Dessert Inn before, and we enjoyed. Fairfield 's room get Disney themed pictures, my kids loved it. We stayed in a suite at Dessert Inn, it was super close to DL& free simply breakfast every morning. We had good time at both, but if we go again, I think we'll pick Dessert Inn cause nothing can beat it's closest distant with extremely tired foot after long hours of DL fun. - RapunzalK

Yikes, when were you going in October??? - lifeguardette
114.6 #2812 1:46AM
Yea, I was wondering that, too....it made me nervous for our October trip. I was secretly hoping that this trip wasn't like our Spring Break trip. That maybe it would be a LITTLE less crowded. Just a tad... :) - PeachKay 310.6 #555 10:15AM
We stayed at the Fairfield Inn in June ...it was nice. Stayed at Hilton in March....loved it but no shuttles or breakfast. I was able to book a room at the Hilton with a view of DL and a lanai for less than what HoJo quoted for MW and rate in August. Good luck in your search! - fvbmermaid

getawaytoday.com still shows HOJO having rooms first week of October -- not sure when you were planning on going though. - rdaann

If we can't stay on property we stay at the Fairfield :-). We really like it but the pool can get pretty crowded, it's not that big. - PrincessDuckie

We love The Anabella, its right behind DCA so you can still walk. Best Western Raffles Inn is more of a bargain and has LARGE suites and a good free breakfast. Also have stayed a little further down Harbor in Garden Grove at Crowne Plaza and Emabassy Suites, both have free Disney shuttles and Embassy Suites has an AWESOME hot breakfast. - DisneyDad909

Have stayed at the Fairfield across the street from the HOJO and loved it. If you know a Marriot employee and can use a discout sometimes their rooms are $39. Good luck! - Dzny4Ever

We stay at either the Hilton with Disney view. My new favorite is the Homewood Suites. Free hot breakfast everyday then Mon -Thursday free dinner it is nothing fancy but it helps bring down my total cost. Plus it has a kitchen with 2 burner stove and full sized fridge, bbq's outside (first come first serve) by the pool. Large 2 room suites. - MeridasHair

We stay there too. I LOVE that the dinner is included. That leaves us to buy more fun snacks and whatnot! - matildamouse 196.4 #1675 1:49PM
