Happy 4th of July everyone!! Ok so let's have a little contest. Tell me how many fireworks you bought this year. The person with the most gets bragging rights. Sorry nothing good to give away.
We bought some here in Vegas.. my husband bought me a box for my bday =/ I tried to act happy about it haha. He probably spent about 100 bucks.. which we could have put toward our disney fund ugggh! - PlsDisneyMe

Aww it's a guy thing, we like to look brave for our ladies by lighting them and running away. - donnievegas 1127.5 #72 10:19AM
Yeah it is lol. Tying a bunch of them together and lighting them to see what happens is also a guy thing. - madsdad 1125.2 #73 10:56AM

209.0 #1509 6:49AM
Zero. We'll be in DL in a few days...I'd rather spend $ there :o) PLUS the fireworks show at DL far surpasses any noisemakers we could get our hands on here :o) that, and its pretty much banned in every local city...so nope, we're good without :o) - HadMatter
351.2 #407 6:51AM
Where in NorCal? I'm on NorCal and they aren't banned where we are - brodysmommy 243.7 #1064 7:07AM
We are walking over to Woodbridge Elem next to the placer county fairgrounds to watch the Fireworks . If we can't be in Tahoe that's are tradition . - My_HappyPlace 65.6 #3483 11:49AM
Nice my happy place! We went to sun city Roseville last night and watched those! Tonight we will be doing street ones in CH! - brodysmommy 243.7 #1064 11:59AM
Banned in San Diego county :(. A couple of sparklers tonight would have been fun tonight. - leopardditz2000
51.4 #3728 6:58AM
My husband and I both grew up in VA and sparklers were such a big part of the 4th... My 3 chickens born here in San Diego have never even seen a sparkler. So sad - Lifeguardmom 292.5 #657 7:41AM
Come to my house - we have about 10 boxes! - PrincessKristin 774.5 #126 7:50AM
Where? I'll buy a box off you. I would love to get just one picture of my kids with sparklers - Lifeguardmom 292.5 #657 11:51AM
Let me clarify, by fireworks I meant the ones on the ground, the fountain ones, not the ones that blow up on the air. Also fireworks can mean sparklers or even those little poppers. - scrumpy325
28.0 #4476 6:59AM
Still zero. Still banned in our area...even the little ones including sparklers. Not that my neighbors care though...its been the 4th of July every night since last week apparently :o) - HadMatter 351.2 #407 7:03AM
Dublin sells them and let's you do them legally in three parks. I saw them everywhere last year. This year San Ramon won't have the sky ones. Only Livermore at Las Positas off airway blvd. We are going there tonight - E-Ticket 772.4 #128 7:06AM
Ticket....I used to live in San Ramon and always thought it was odd that they were illegal in San Ramon, but legal one town over! - Gia 785.5 #121 10:48AM
Banned here in Arkansas, too, due to temps and drought, so we just got a couple boxes of poppers for the kids. - mrsincredible
404.3 #5 7:01AM
I think we bought maybe 10.... It was $70 and when we looked it didn't look like much for $70!! But at least others are buying too so should still be fun to watch! :) - brodysmommy
243.7 #1064 7:08AM
Can't buy any in San Diego. But our neighbors are Chemistry majors so they're making some! - Pintraderswife

None, too many fires in Utah right now. Kids are doing stadium of fire with Scotty Mcreery and the Beach Boys and fireworks. We all wish we were at DL again! Have fun for us too if you are there! - adisneyfamily
512.2 #229 7:46AM
Here in Washington, our fireworks laws are quite liberal - we can not only buy ground fireworks but many others, like Roman candles and other ones, big ones, that blow up in the air. Bottle rockets, firecrackers, and missiles are illegal. That being said, SOME people, like families with three boys, often make trips to the Indian reservations to get a WIDE variety of explosives. I have spent many a 4th of July warning my husband and boys not to blow things up. It's actually quite a lot of fun, but I get very nervous every year. - PrincessKristin
774.5 #126 7:46AM
Oh, and I NEVER spend money on fireworks. My husband and boys usually spend about $100-200 and put on a show for the neighborhood. Their friends spend about as much, and they all bring them over here and all the neighbor kids ooohhhh and aaahhh. - PrincessKristin 774.5 #126 7:49AM
Yep, PK, for us it used to be very easy to put on a good show w/ artillery purchased on the reservations.... But I'm in Lacey now and they banned everything, even sparkles, a few years back. But my neighbors didn't get the memo yet! It sounds like a war zone around here this past week....ugh LOL - HadMatter 351.2 #407 8:15AM
I think it's crazy that they are banned in Lacey but Olympia is good to go! - DiamondInTheRough 291.9 #660 11:34AM
I know right! Although I hear 2013 may be the last year Olympia will allow it... - HadMatter 351.2 #407 11:41AM
None fireworks were banned at our apartments after last years mess! - vegasbrat
403.8 #325 7:47AM
Ooo I don't miss the next-morning mess! My hubby swears he's going to get a push broom out and sweep up in front of our house tomorrow because our dingbat neighbors across the street never clean up...he wants to dump it all on their lawn...and fireworks are banned in our area! I hope the get fined this year LOL...2 years ago they got over a $1000 fine...did they learn? Nope :o) - HadMatter 351.2 #407 8:23AM
We never buy them I mean we get to watch the Disneyland fireworks plus our neighbor trys to take Disney out with his lol - MinnieMaddiesMommie
41.8 #3948 8:25AM
None. Why? Because they're lousy. I'll watch other people spend $50 + dollars on them and half the box are duds! - mightymike10
271.6 #813 8:41AM
None. They are illegal in our county. - Flyingtoneverland
188.1 #1773 9:44AM
None, fireworks are illegal in my neck of the woods π - Linzee
517.2 #225 10:05AM
We spent around $70. People line up on the blocks and set them off. It's like a big show. There are also a couple of huge sky shows you can see for miles. Good times. - sewedna
84.6 #3216 10:11AM
San Diegan here....we don't buy them. I remember having the sparklers as a kid though! Please remember....make sure your pets are safely confined. So many pets get lost on the Fourth! I usually put mine in a room with music on to keep them calm. *Friendly advice from your MW Dog Lady!* - Gia
785.5 #121 10:52AM
Thank you for the reminder. - Disneymother 214.0 #1431 10:53AM
Yes that is great advice!! You always have to watch out for your dogs! - scrumpy325 28.0 #4476 10:54AM
I got my contraband sparklers and snakes. I live on an Pen space in San Diego and down the street from a CDF fire chief so we must be quiet. We do flood the back concrete with water. - MeridasHair
319.7 #524 10:56AM
We haven't bought any. Our city had banned them due to all the fires in Utah and the fire danger so we don't have any. :(. I want to introduce my daughter to sparklers. I guess next year. :) - mickeyboo
65.3 #3485 11:27AM
Those are banned in Pasadena π but the biggest fireworks show in so cal is here π - gigibunny2
242.7 #1079 11:36AM
This is the first time my bro and I have celebrate independence day with no fireworks. Since my parents had to relocate to Houston for my mom's job, that leaves just my bro and I at home. my dad loves fireworks and he's bummed that he won't be here with us to see them. So the only fireworks that we are gonna see are from Disneyland today and we are gonna send him videos and pics. - SorcererD91
476.1 #251 11:38AM
You guys are so lucky to be able to buy them! Here in San Diego you can't buy them so you guys have lots of fun & be safe! - Mickeymouse28
