Good morning Chub 33. I'm back. I spent the last few days holding vigil at my Dad's bedside with my sisters as he prepared to leave this earth. We gathered around his bed and we shared memories, we cried, we laughed, and we ate. We ate to nourish our bodies and our spirits. We ate to pass the time. We ate to stay awake during long nights of administering morphine every hour or so. We ate to comfort ourselves. And we ate simply because the food was there. My Dad passed yesterday morning, in the house he built, surrounded by generations of family. One of the last things he said before he passed was "the sun will come up in the morning"... And it has. It's time to begin to move forward. Moving forward includes getting back to points allowances and tracking...and daily runs. So good morning chub 33....I'm back and I'm moving forward.
