Hi all. Was wondering, could a CM please explain to me how randomized the sequences in star tours really is? I've seen all the possible outcomes, yet in my experience of riding it SIX TIMES, I have only seen the underwater tattoine and pod racing sequences. Am I that unlucky or is this combo just the most common?
Sorry I prefaced it with "CM". I just assumed they'd have a somewhat better idea of the technical specifics. As for my my cats... of course they wouldn't know the answer. They just want to make babies and eat food. No interest in computers. - kingofthecatsinsidedisneyland

I beg to differ. Have you seen "Gamer Kitteh!" on Youtube? lol - Alicewhoareyou 536.0 #209 7:24PM
*dont know how to edit on phone* by "seen all the sequences", I meant I've read all the possible sections on Wikipedia, not on the actual ride. - kingofthecatsinsidedisneyland

To be totally serious though and answer the question, I heard it was 89.7% random. The rest of the time it is not random. But whether you get the random or not random experience is completely random. - Alicewhoareyou 536.0 #209 7:16PM
Just yesterday, Tom Fitzgerald gave a very thorough presentation on how the new star tours came to be. Starting in 1998, and opening this year. They are totally random, to sum it up for you. He said even he has no idea what he would be getting when he rides. He specifically said, he kept both the people that would ride only once on their vacation as well as the APs that visit the parks very often. He wanted APs to want to go back time and time again bc you never know what you are going to get. Sorry for the long answer: totally random. Haha. - vanGoghsStarryNight

eh, it's just like we learned in Kindergarten.. you get what you get and you don't make a fuss. but to be more serious, we have gotten the under water sequence the most often. - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint 1798.5 #42 7:27PM

I heard something about a secret suit case with the codes thatβs handcuffed to random Cast Members for security reasons... - CM_Clopin

This sounds like too much of an inside joke cast members tell non cast-members. I did ask for it, but I'm keeping my guard up on this one. 0_o - kingofthecatsinsidedisneyland 5.1 #10297 12:02AM
I heard the Starspeeder 1000 is equipped with the Infinite Probability Drive and that's how it comes up with the wild and crazy trips you take. - shadowgamer
