I'm heading to DCA and DL next week and thought I would ask the best strategy for RSR. I have a magic morning and have friends stating at DH. Should I go in a magic morning and go to fast pass line? Or us there a better time if day that the line isn't insane. Do people get mad if the entire party doesn't wait the whole three hours? Any helpful hints appreciated.
Do magic morning cause there is no good time through the day. - Chumash28

I don't think cars land is open for the magic morning or early entry. You can wait in the fast pass line though. It gets long really fast and you can't get to the machines until the park officially opens. I think going to the fast pass line right away is a good idea. As for the whole group waiting, I don't see why you would have to. One person can have all the tickets and get fast passes for everyone. So you can take turns waiting in the line, but people may give you dirty looks if you bring more people in the line or switch a lot. - GodOfWine

I would do magic morning for the first ride on RSR. Than get FP for the group for later in the day. - Donaldfan_532

Yes don't forget to make sure everyone has a Facebook later in the day or it could be bad ;) - GodOfWine 465.3 #261 8:48AM

I have to get up at 445 am everyday for my internship so I'm very functional in the mornings now lol - GodOfWine 465.3 #261 9:28AM
Carsland was open for hotel guest extra magic hour. You should have one person stand in line for the fastpasses while the rest of you go ride radiator springs. - Ht

Is the entry through the Grand open for hotel guests on magic morning days. - kskating 377.3 #359 10:35AM
I would hit up the fast pass line, so then you can ejnoy everything else and get on RSR later on at a quicker rate. - madsdad

We went into park at 8am yesterday and the line to get a fast pass was 55 minutes long. Used it at night, 4 hours past our time and it took almost an hour in line. Went into park at 7am today to get in line and only waited 15 minutes to get fast pass. Used it at our return start time and only waited 5 minutes - krismouse

That's really strange. I wonder why it worked like that? - GodOfWine 465.3 #261 9:29AM
We were in the park before 8 Thurs, stood in line for over an hour for a fast pass that was for 6 pm. Next time, I am going straight to RSR to wait. It was soooo worth waiting for, but I would rather ride it earlier, as we hadn't planned to stay that late. - snowwannab

We did Disney California Adventure magic morning last Sat. Tip: single rider way faster (less than 30 min). If you have kids who can't ride- ask for parent swap ticket and head for fast pass line. You can ride it twice while the stand bye line takes twice as long!!! - Elaine
