Newbie here....Wanted to introduce myself and ask a question. :) My hubby and I plan to take our 5yo to Disneyland next month. (We bought the 3 day hopper pass.) This is all of our 1st time there; I am looking for some tips. What are some of your favorite must try restaurants, snacks, and must ride or see? Anything we should skip? Thanks for the input!

Take your time! Relax! Be super nice to the othe guest who forgot how to smile.. Ride the train at least one time all the way around the park. Make sure you get fast passes they will cut down on your wait times. Eat at odd hours. If you can see all 3 night time shows (one each night) take time to nap and chill at the hotel so your little one can make it late after the fireworks crowds thin out a little. Stop on main street close your eyes and just take in the smells and sounds. If your little one doesn't like rides try not to push the thrill seeker will come out one day. HAVE FUN! - Lifeguardmom  292.5 #657 6:56AM
Plaza Inn, he would love it. My 12yr loved it when he was 4,(and he still does now). - stevencato  206.9 #1529 6:49PM
Thanks for the input I appreciate it.  I thought more people would have given advise on the topic.  Oh well, guess I'll start googling for tips.  Thanks anyway :)  - Agent_P_fan  70.2 #3396 6:28AM
You should add in a character breakfast maybe for day two after you see how your son reacts to seeing the characters in the parks. Some kids love them right away and some are a bit intimidated at first. If he likes them so breakfast at a Goofy's Kitchen or the Plaza Inn do he gets some great pics with them and a lot of interaction. Also make sure to utilize your magic mornings of you are staying in one of the DL hotels. You can do most of fantasyland that way before the park even opens. It will be nice for all of you having three days do you can take it slow and really soak in the magic of Disneyland! Other restaurants I live are the Blue Bayou, great atmosphere and you get to watch the boats of people rising pirates go by. We also really like cafe Orleans (less pricey than blue bayou but similar menu items), hungry bear (yummy burgers), and the fried chicken at the plaza is always a must eat. Don't forget to get a churro! There is also a food section of mousewait, go to the menu tab, scroll down and click on food. There you can see tons of posts other mouse waiters have added on food. Or from the dashboard click on food and you can get even more food info and menus! Have a wonderful trip! - LisaMouse7531  409.1 #317 6:38AM
Sorry I don't know why I figures 5 yo was a son! Same plan works well of it is your daughter though if she likes princesses the most maybe do the character breakfast at Ariel's Grotto in CA Adventure since all I the princesses are there! - LisaMouse7531  409.1 #317 6:41AM
Be sure to go to City Hall and get a First visit button. Also Riverbelle Terrace has great breakfast--Mickey Mouse Pancakes! Yum. - cesium55  529.7 #216 7:14AM
