I'm planning on visiting DL today when I get off work alone because my wife and daughter have something going on tonight. A coworker told me that was creepy an older guy going alone. Now I have mixed feelings. Is it totally weird to go alone? Your thoughts please..
It's not creepy.... what's creepy is your co-worker thinking about things that would make it creepy to go solo. What would your co-worker do if he went alone... THAT'S creepy. - LaTruce

sounds like your CoWorker is not comfortable in their own skin and has social issues that prevent him or her from doing things in life on their own...There is nothing wrong with doing things and going places by yourself no matter how old you are esp going to Disneyland..I love going with big groups and alone alike...I find it very peaceful and relaxing while by myself and get to enjoy the parks in a dfifernt way than I would with a small group or large group - Dave

Not creepy! I get made fun of a lot for going to movie theaters on my own. It's just a better experience! You just need to be comfortable in your own skin, and like everyone said you get to take the parks in at your own rate. I like bringing my DSLR and taking photos :) - ashmonster

Solo is fun! I work right near DL and have been known to pop over after work on particularly hard days or ones when my bf is working late. It's nice because you can do anything you want plus I've met some very nice people in single rider lines. - Sarafina

going alone is a lot of fun. i single ride all the single ride-able rides. i eat a dole whip while people watching. i offer to take pics of couples/families that always have that one person out of a picture. ive made it a point to do that once a trip bc people get so happy to be in pictures together. its a good time. i also eat at restaurants alone and watch movies by myself. ok now im getting a lil sad... - Radius

Everyone has an opinion, and unfortunately they think they need to be heard!! There is absolutely nothing wrong with going solo. It can be relaxing and peaceful just being at the parks. Grab yourself a snack, catch the parade, go on a ride, or just sit and unwind. A little bit of Disney magic can do a lot for the psyche!! - Willierose

Solo allows you to really see the park details without distractions. You will end up With mousewaiters anyways which increases the fun. Heck going to work alone with folks you really don't know is creepy to me. - Plumiegirl

I have a great time going solo! Other guests are not going to look at you and think "how creepy, he's here alone". Everyone is too into what they are doing. And even if someone notices, you could just be on your own for an hour or so while your wife and daughter go on a ride. No one would know the difference.
