I worked 4th of July back in 2008 and it was ridiculous. There are so many people and it's really hard to get around and actually do things. The fireworks are amazing, and they have a special WoC with fireworks too. The park usually reaches capacity pretty quick, so if you are going to go, I would suggest going very early and expecting tons of people to be there. - CMJenKWorth  122.9 #2687 4:55PM

As a former CM, I agree that it is very crowded, but on the other hand, the fireworks etc. on the 4th are even more awesome than usual and the patriotic decorations are worth experiencing as well. - radiator  282.7 #714 5:10PM

I thought it wasn't as crowded last year as I would have expected, but still crowded. It helps that most passes are blocked out. Expect crowds, long lines, and don't try to do all the E-tickets. Take some time to appreciate the less popular attractions- Tiki Room, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, etc. The fireworks were beautiful, I even cried a little, and I'm not a particularly patriotic person. - brit-brit  298.3 #618 5:16PM
