#MW Magazine. I FINALLY have some free time, so I'm getting started on the next issue! My question is this: What were your thoughts when you entered Carsland for the first time? What about when you began walking down BVS? Thanks!

BVS is timeless... I love the architecture and all the shops. I'm taken back by all the details they included inside of the shops as well. The trolleys also add that genuine touch that you have entered back in time to when Walt arrived. I absolutely love it. And Carsland is just too busy for me to enjoy it yet. Lol but it's really epic with all the detail taken right from the movie .. - PrinceTeaJack  948.5 #231 6:30PM
Aww I wish I could answer all of this.. Still haven't been yet :( but I do have hopes and thoughts on what I imagine it to be 😊 I've so far seen the Carthay Circle Theater as it was the only area open. I could say that I have some thoughts about it, I'm still dreaming about it. I was really happy to scout the Carthay Circle Theater when I arrive at the parks and was mesmerized after discovering it but the first thing that awed me was the fountain. I was captured by the romance of the water and the fountain as it sets the stage for the Carthay Theater. The tile work, fine embellishments, the paint and colors chosen for the fountain, the sounds that graced with Β 20's/30's music from its seeming less speakers combined with the sound of the calm water, were among the beautiful and very well combined details that led as the centerpiece of DCA. I really believed that I was transported to an old still shot, but with sound and color, I even felt underdressed for this presence ☺. The sound of the fountain was my favorite, it was soothing and it made everything feel real– almost like being pinched to reality. Finally, as I walked around the fountain and stood in between the theater and fountain, the entire scene made sense. I looked up at the tall theater, I noticed the trolley tracks in my periphery and listened to the beautiful fountain and my mind was blown away.. it filled me with emotion and almost instant (sweet) tears. I really took in the most of that moment and appreciated it. It was an organic and unique experience because it all symbolizes what we believe as Mouse Waiters, and more meaningfully, what I believed since I was child... Magic is real, dreams do come true and never stop believing. At last I realized that I was looking at a monument, the (original) Carthay Theater in 1937during it's hay days when its glowing lights lit up for "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". It may be silly to say but the world wouldn't be the same without that moment... though here we are getting a precious piece of the monumental day, we wouldn't of been here with out it. I absolutely fell in love with Carthay Circle Theater and I do believe that Disney California Adventure is home now, I can't wait to see the rest! - gigibunny2  242.8 #1575 9:26PM
Carsland was breathtaking, amazing, wow, jaw dropping. I was transported to another world away from the outside reality. I never wanted to leave...I wanted to live there.Β BVS took me to a place that once Walt was in. I absolutely loved the atmosphere! The performers were top-notch and I've never smiled so much in my life till I met them. Mickey Mouse in his original outfit is classic but I think him in his Dapper outfit is the best one out there.Β He's just so handsome :D - iamdugsmaster  878.8 #248 6:28PM
When I first walked through Ornament valley I was just in awe. I could. Of stop looking around. The sheer size of Ornament Valley is amazing. I really felt as though I was walking through Ornament Valley rather than a theme park. Radiator Springs during the day is amazing, however Radiator Springs at night blows me away! The tail light flowers, the neon signs, the lighting ceremony, and the Ornament Vlley Waterfall have me in complete awe each time I see it all. I was transported to the movie. The rides in CarsLand are great. Maters is a pleasant surprise and provides laughs each time. RSR was so unexpected the first ride and exceeded my expectations. CarsLand does not disappoint! BVS is simply amazing. The details in the architecture amaze me every time I step foot on BVS and transport me to a different era. I love the BVS characters and they just add to the charm. I am amazed at the quality of the Newsboys Show (being a huge Newsies fan I LOVE this show). I am so impressed with both CarsLand and BVS and think that both are an amazing addition to DCA. I know I will spend many visits exploring and each time I will find something new. - LilSterner  5828.4 #25 10:14PM
Totally 110% agreeπŸ‘†πŸ‘† - MarshaMouse  5048.9 #31 10:38PM
CarsLand went on a preview - was speechless, had goosebumps, exceeded expectations, literally walked into the movie. BVS - I worked for 2 years in down town LA near San Vicente and Fairfax area. That said I have walked through the wilshire Bullocks and it was so similar to Elias company. It felt like walking in the old LA stores and buildings. I liked how peaceful it was and a Starbucks yes! - Plumiegirl  10876.9 #11 10:39PM
When I walked down cars land for the first time I felt my mouth fall open and felt like time was in slow motion as I walked around I felt like I was in the cars movie it was absolutely amazing! BVS was also amazing I would say wow look at that then 2 seconds later oh gosh wow look over there. Absolutely breathtaking all the little details just stunning love the red car! - mickeyat78  2272.5 #83 6:11AM
BVS: I was giddy walking in the first time. Mostly because all the construction was GONE GONE GONE! Haha. I thought "This is exactly what this park needed." It's how it should have been from the beginning. The details are awesome and it's just perfect! It's 100 times better than before. Now with Carsland I simply thought "Oh my God. It's Radiator Springs." Plain and simple. You can tell that so much detail and work went into planning it and I haven't even been on the rides yet! I didn't have much time to wander because the lighting ceremony was about to start and we wanted to grab a place in the street. Then John Lasseter walked by and I was floored. We got to watch the opening night lighting ceremony feet from him. Truly magical. He was the first to applaud at the end. - LaneSparrow316  847.0 #260 5:32PM
The first time I walked down Buena Vista Street, I felt like I was back in the time I had wished I had lived in, the 40s. I could picture my Grandpa and Grandma, when they were dating, strolling down the street holding hands and even stopping to dance to the music that is played. They would have loved it. They are with me every time I'm there ❀ - caramiapooh  4488.7 #40 10:21PM
I was overcome with emotion walking down BVS the first time. There was a sense of pride and nostalgia about it all. The architecture is beautiful! My first time at Cars Land was amazing. To see Radiator Springs brought to life was unbelievable. When the sun went down, the song started playing, and the neon lights flicked on, I couldn't help but cry. It was spectacular! - EpicDio  460.3 #539 6:48PM
Boop-a-loop! I know more of you have feelings inside you! It can be a sentence, phrase, paragraph, essay, limmerick, haiku. Anything and everything!  - KylaShea  632.7 #372 7:41PM
Great questions btw! I'm excited to read about everyone's thoughts!! I already have an idea on how it's going to be and already reading these posts help me imagine it better :) - gigibunny2  242.8 #1575 9:56PM
Sorry that mine ended up being so long! - LilSterner  5828.4 #25 10:15PM
Don't be sorry, these are great :) - KylaShea  632.7 #372 3:30AM
My thought's when we first walked in past the carsland sign was wow, pretty cool. But when I walked into carsland from the pacific wharf side, my thought were omg I'm in a entirely different state. That is the most amazing walk from that direction! - madsdad  1868.2 #109 7:44PM
When I first walked into Carsland from the pacific wharf side I was just in AWWW of the absolute beauty of it! I had seen pics and seen videos at the sky cellar of what was coming. But it's like seeing a picture of the grand canyon..you don't really know until you are standing RIGHT there! It definitely is a shock to your visual senses! Beauty in its most natural state, but wait no. Created by what has to be one of the most talented imagineer teams. - HollyGolightlyPrincess  406.5 #625 8:05PM
When I first walked into Cars Land, it was about 2 weeks before the opening and they invited us CMs to ride RSR for testing. I, with about 100 other CMs, all walked in and everyone's jaw dropped. We were all amazed to see how much detail and work had gone into creating Radiator Springs. Then during the CM previews, it was even more amazing when we got to explore the land and discover all of the little details that went into all of the show elements in order to bring the land alive. - BaseballMickey  8946.1 #14 8:21PM
Cars Land really blew me away. To me, this is the best land they have created at the Disneyland resort. The movie Cars was the first movie my son ever loved. It just is so beautiful and you feel like you actually in Radiator Springs. - aidensmama  340.3 #794 8:25PM
I truly felt like I walked into the movie. Every detail takes your breath away. So fun and amazing to share this dream with my family. Rides, food, CM's, Magic!!! - sewedna  579.0 #401 9:02PM
BVS makes my heart so happy. I love that there are no barriers around the Storytellers statue. The first time I walked up to it I started crying. I think Walt would be so proud. - CMJenKWorth  125.0 #3292 9:05PM
Carsland: like everyone said, jaw dropping, especially from Wharf side. You honestly get transported into ornament valley! You truly forget you're at DCA or even DL for that matter...the coloring is perfect, the sizing and formations take u into a place only your imagination can take you! It's literally like walking into the movie. Especially with preview with less people, you completely immersed into radiator springs! BVS: you get transported to a different era, it had that main street feel but in the 30s. It's architecture is so detailed and the characters just add that cherry on top! Riding the trolley through BVS and Hollywoodland feels like a different path way, one which I've taken many times but you truly feel like you stepped back in time riding the trolley. Like you are riding the streets of Los Angeles filled with people on the streets. The conductor tells you so much of the trolley back then, you learn so much! - MarshaMouse  5048.9 #31 10:45PM
You truly remembered, as you entered how it was to be five and walk into Disneyland, with everything brand newto you and amazing. That inner child came out as you entered Carsland and don't even get me started on RSR, I literally teared up the whole ride, especially the ornament valley part with the waterfall. Breath taking amazing. A little kid excitement and giddiness is exactly what I felt! - MarshaMouse  5048.9 #31 7:59AM
meh, .... 😁😜 - Tom  16641.8 #4 6:28AM
At least you're honest, lol - KylaShea  632.7 #372 7:50AM
Oh, I'm definitely joking. Disney did a great job as usual! - Tom  16641.8 #4 4:17PM
As we entered Carsland, we were transported back in time to old Corona when Main Street was a straight road to the mountains and soda fountain drive-ins with neon signs was the place to be. Seeing the neon signs light up with one of our favorite songs brought back those memories long forgotten. Can't wait to experience those feelings again - SeΓ±orBuzz&Jessie  68.5 #4464 8:36AM
The first time we walked into Carsland was for the AP Preview event and we walked in through the wharf side and it was amazing. I couldn't believe we were in DCA. I always tell people to walk in that way if they haven't walked in through that side. - Sandcar13  1408.2 #143 8:36AM
The movie ”Cars” holds a special place in our hearts. My hubby and I had just purchased our 51 chevy and were invited to a private outdoor screening of the movie at the tiki drive in. Sitting under the stars with other classic cars around us priceless....needless to say we love the movie. We rushed on opening day to see it...we arrived at 10pm, with only 1 hour to take it all in. It was truly magic. My eyes watered w emotion because it was alive and real and we have the honor to enjoy it. To see my hubby so blown away w emotion.at the attention to detail...priceless - Luvvdisney  384.3 #662 5:26PM
In short, I felt like I was five again. - DuffysJuju  634.0 #370 7:05PM
Bump! This is a REALLY cool part of the magazine! :) - KylaShea  632.7 #372 10:05PM
We went on a paid preview day. As my daughter and I walked in, all I could think about was 'where is my husband?!? he is missing all of this' ...he got stuck in line buying us Starbucks. 😳. I probably tried calling him 10 times. Thinking back I blew up his phone because I wanted us to experience it as a family, I didn't want to look around until he got there. But I honestly couldnt help being in awe of the transformation of the former Lion King parking lot that we would walk into and then take the tram into the parks. After so much construction and it was done, I was actually standing inside Carsland!! 😍. It was amazing. - Linzee  1930.0 #105 10:20PM
Did you ever get my emails? - theRealDisneygirlforevr  175.3 #2461 4:31PM
Yup! I'll have feedback in a few days :) - KylaShea  632.7 #372 4:34PM
I was completely mesmerized! I felt like I'd waited forever to see it. And it just so happened that I had o have surgery just 2 days before the opening. I couldn't stay away! My husband and daughter took me and rolled me through in a wheelchair. To see an animation come to life right before my eyes, was right up there with the first time at Disneyland/California Adventure!  - PrincessLani  111.3 #3582 4:38PM
Can we get some comments about seeing the Characters in Cars Land? Also comments about the new shows on BVS? :) - KylaShea  632.7 #372 7:32PM
im going to try and send more emails tonight ...been kinda busy - theRealDisneygirlforevr  175.3 #2461 8:01PM

I've had a lot of trouble with platinum version. It seems to "magically" close itself at random times. The most common random closes are: after updating ride or food times, after clicking on a different feature in the app, or immediately after opening. I generally have to re-open it 2-3 times, at which point it stays open until I've made my update, but if I stop using it for more than 5 minutes and go back to it I have to go through the magical closings again. πŸ˜“ - Mouse28  946.2 #232 9:06AM

It will stay the same until someone else gets enough points and quality to pass a couple more people. Even though two people on the list don't post much they still are ahead of the rest of us in quality points so they earned their spot. And Plumiegirl you post QC so you're qc score is high! πŸ˜„ - secretagentangel  11894.6 #9 8:33PM
when you are at the top you tend to move slower because its the same folks that frequent the parks most. So hence the top ten.. trolls ;) - Plumiegirl  10876.9 #11 9:55PM

Does anyone have any info on the Matterhorn reopening?  It makes me sad there is no official date yet! - AngiMouse  548.1 #427 8:46AM
I heard, on Thursday, that it will probably be another month or so. This came from a guy whose buddy is on a construction team there. Not sure what truth there is to it, but it's all I got AngiMouse  - DisneyDiane316  2656.7 #65 9:08PM
I went to the Disney site and it doesn't say, but I was searching/googling last night and another site said April 22, but I have no idea if it is correct.  I want to know how long the Red Rose Taverne will be open.  I even emailed/contacted Disneyland through their website but I haven't got a response. - dianeburns1998  136.4 #3106 6:11AM
AngiMouse, I just checked, it was undercovertourist and it says April 21 ( not 22-oops).  I have no idea if it is a legitimate site. - dianeburns1998  136.4 #3106 6:14AM
