(She's going to kill me for this, but here goes -- I'd love that phone for my classroom!). My favorite Disney memory is when my daughter, flukefan (Rachel), was about 3 years old. She LOVED watching Aladdin, so when we went to DL to see the parade, I thought she'd enjoy seeing the Aladdin parade and all of its characters, and she did at first. She loved seeing them from a distance, but I really wanted her to get close for pictures. Well, that didn't go over well. I gave up, but as we walked to find a spot to sit and have ice cream, I pointed out Jafar. I said, "Look! Jafar! Want to go see him?" Rachel wrapped herself around my legs, peeked out from behind me and firmly stated, "I not like Befar!" That pretty much sealed the deal on characters ever again, or so I thought. As we sat on the curb with our ice cream, Kit, from Tailspin, came and sat next to her. She leaned far away from him at first, but he took her autograph book, drew a self portrait for her, and they became best buds for about 10 minutes. Scary character interactions were behind us from then on! -
