#News-#Grad Night- Dates for Grad Night 2013. The grads will still have the chance to park hop between Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, but the private after hours party is being moved to Disney California Adventure, which ends the 51 years Disneyland has been hosting Grad Nights. (This is the flyer they were giving the chaperones and schools last night).

I must have gotten lucky on grad nights, I honestly didn't see a difference than any other night, and thought all the teens were respectful. i mean they do a lot of running around, but I would too if I mads could keep up with me lol. - madsdad  1847.0 #76 11:58AM

I'm class of 2014.  Hopefully my high school can go to grad nite.  It'd be the best thing ever.  Not going to be a fan of hearing hip hop music in Buena Vista Street thoguh - disneyseeker  3.7 #24522 6:57PM
My sister is a junior and apparently her school isn't participating next year. She's so bummed. - Vegan7LuvsStitch  1009.3 #167 7:04PM
Our high schools had to choose between Gad Nite at DL or grad nite at Mahic Mountain. Both schools chose Magic Mountain!! - Diznimom  222.3 #1622 7:12PM

And I had to dress up... "Pant suit" if any of you remember those? Lol! - snowwannab  721.2 #233 9:14AM
Yes! I remember DL only with semi formal attire. I had to walk around my grad night in heels. DCA was not even built yet, maybe thought of. - mini_MINNIE  1046.0 #159 10:29AM
I remember the bus parking lot that was located where the baggage check is now, I remember thinking " we never get to park this close!" - Twitterpated  266.8 #1116 10:02PM
The band was c&c music factory - Twitterpated  266.8 #1116 10:04PM
Ours was Lisa Lisa and the Cult Jam lol - MrsSchnooks  3043.5 #40 11:47PM
Oh, and totally had to dress up! - MrsSchnooks  3043.5 #40 11:48PM
We had to dress up, too. I don't remember where we parked, though, cause DCA was being built. I don't remember who was playing cause we were more interested in the attractions. Indy was brand new that year, I do remember that. - GoofyMom77  675.7 #252 8:16AM
Hmmm, going to have to replan that day trip in May. - Lelundrial  557.5 #330 8:52AM
Are the kids there for the entire day and overnight? Or do they just come in the evening and stay overnight? - MeridaFan  3522.9 #33 9:15AM
They arrive all day, most stay until the wee hours of the night. - Linzee  1038.5 #161 9:26AM
We got there in the afternoon and left at 7am - MissMolly  1308.6 #111 10:01AM
I think we were let in at 9 and the parks were closed...all night. They are there during the day now? When we were there in June-it seemed like they came really late. - TinkerSchelle  1448.7 #101 11:13PM
Last year, I believe, they were let in around 3pm. Then they have their little after party after the park closes. - GoofyMom77  675.7 #252 8:17AM
Great information. Thanks BBMickey! - DisneyVacationLover  461.4 #424 9:46AM
Thank you for this!! - GrimGrinningAmanda  660.5 #265 10:12AM
I had my Grad Nite last year at DL, and after all the horror stories I was told about it being "so crowded you couldn't move", etc. it was actually a really great time. They set up the dance floors in certain areas in the park (no skin off my nose, that just makes the lines shorter) and for some strange reason people danced the whole time instead of enjoying the park ("danced"). I also heard about how you used to dress formal, so I did anyway :P - JRDrummer_CM  875.4 #185 10:59AM
What time did they let you in? - TinkerSchelle  1448.7 #101 11:14PM
Thanks for the info. When I went to Grad Nite, we didn't get to park hop! It was a fun night, but there were people from other schools that gave us some kind of a culture shock with behaviors that weren't very classy. - DPTflower  24.4 #6052 11:00AM
Oh boy. I can't WAIT to see what the kids have replaced YOLO with this year! - AvidDisneyThrifter220  1398.4 #106 12:43PM

LOL RB is right.. - MEHlanie_Mouse  1114.5 #143 12:19AM
What time do the parks usually close for grad night? - MomOf2Pirates  225.7 #1565 9:56PM
Around 10pm I believe. Its whatever the usual park closing is because they are mixed in with the regular day guests - BaseballMickey_CM  6887.3 #9 9:59PM
Here we go again..... YOLO convention 2013. - vincentchase1  672.8 #257 12:22AM
It seems like my grad night (2011) was the year before they started all the big changes, like the times and the park! I'm glad mine was the way it was, but it'll be interesting to see what Disney does next. - BelleintheTARDIS  258.8 #1187 1:01AM
thank you for this info!!! - OhanaPhoto  3604.2 #31 12:47PM
I went to Grad Nite 1994 we had All For One has one of the bands.the crowds where the same as New Years, very busy. It was a great time though! Everyone was the same age. - PixiePirateMaid  315.2 #751 12:52PM
Bump. - MeridaFan  3522.9 #33 8:58PM
Thank you! I tried looking for this, but obviously didn't go back far enough! I thought BBM had posted this info more recently! - IDVandalSkipperCM  2345.7 #53 8:59PM
I got this flyer on the night of the last ever grad night at DL! - BaseballMickey_CM  6887.3 #9 9:06PM
Yeah, I remember now. Looks like DCA is only open until 3 again for Grad Night--10-3 for weeknights and 11-3 for Fridays! Should be interesting. - IDVandalSkipperCM  2345.7 #53 9:14PM
Having it over at DCA should be even more interesting. I need to get to know the area even more in case I have to work the events - BaseballMickey_CM  6887.3 #9 9:17PM
Yeah I'm sure DL CMs will be pulled over there for GC and the like. - IDVandalSkipperCM  2345.7 #53 9:58PM
DCA CMs were given a sheet to fill out for shifts to rank in order of preference. We have NO choice for Fri/Sat...we have to have full availability for those days. - CM_Tamstirr  552.4 #334 11:26PM
So excited. Only a couple more months until I get to go to grad nite. Been waiting for this since i started high school. - ChelseyBea  13.9 #8110 9:11PM
YORO. - chris.  2510.9 #45 9:26PM
I'm going on grad nite! When do the parks close on those nights? - Picklez  29.8 #5508 10:05PM
Ooh, when? - MissMolly  1308.6 #111 10:10PM
Either 9pm or 10pm - BaseballMickey_CM  6887.3 #9 10:10PM
Oh ok. 31st - Picklez  29.8 #5508 10:44PM
I've worked about 5 grad nights as a chaperone, and will be going back this year. It's always a ton of fun! - Diz_Mel  93.7 #3534 10:52PM
I work at a High School and chaperone too. I love it! The excitement. The energy. The non existent strollers. The bizarre things that can only be experienced during a Grad Nite at DL. Things such as riding the Teacups at 3am with Rihanna's S&M blaring through the speakers. πŸ˜‚ - SneakyStella  321.9 #719 11:52PM
For people who have visited the parks with families on grad night..do you really notice a big increase in crowd. We have a 5 day hopper June 17-21. I realize June is busy anyways but it was when we could go. It's a Suprise for our 2 kids, I just hope it isn't too crazy. - macy  8.6 #10839 10:54PM
the mornings and afternoons should be fine. Its just around 5-6pm, the students start to come in. - BaseballMickey_CM  6887.3 #9 11:08PM
I went last year with my boys and the morning of the grad night seemed empty. We walked onto a lot of the major rides (some multiple times) or had a minimal wait time, so when the park started getting busy around 4 we were fine with having an early dinner and heading home before things got too crazy. - Momof3crazyboys  165.2 #2403 10:18PM
We were there the first week of June last year. I did notice the teen population increase around 5ish. I also noticed that the ride effects were "plused" It really felt like a canon ball was going to take off my head in POTC and BTMRR felt like it was going a bit faster. - GoofyMom77  675.7 #252 8:24AM
Didn't we JUST have grad nights?? 😳 - Sweet_Irish_Cream  4388.7 #22 11:31PM
I hear you! Time flies. - fairyshley  479.8 #399 1:25AM

Going on the 9th , last night in park hope it won't be too busy during the day - the_wolff  222.4 #1619 9:41PM
First time going to work them since I'm stationed in California Adventure. I am excited for it. The stories don't scare me one bit πŸ˜„ - CM_SmS1291  544.6 #340 12:46AM
I'm happy to find out dates this year. I wish DL would have posted dates last year on their online Calender when I planned my families trip. My experience was that many teens were disrespectful and too overcrowded. Kids Swearing, making out, and smoking pot at the parks is not how I imagined my Disney day being. Getting things out of our locker was a nightmare. Locker room was full of kids sitting around, they wouldnt let us pass, then swearing at me because I asked them if I could get into my locker. NEVER AGAIN! - dolewhipkarlita  80.7 #3751 1:14AM
I am sure that our granddaughter will still have a fabulous time - Tealtownfan  974.4 #170 7:53AM
I had soo much fun at my grad night! the only problemI can see are those SHORT SHORTS all the girls are wearing now. the only cheeks I like to see are on peoples faces ;) - missariel33  1947.3 #71 8:29AM
eh, if their cheeks stay in the booty shorts, i have no issue with it. it's the ones who have no business wearing said shorts I'm not fond of. - GoofyMom77  675.7 #252 8:36AM
Well it distracts my bf & his friends....and the cheeks don't stay in the shorts, that's the problem :/ - missariel33  1947.3 #71 3:38PM
It's on like Donkey Kong! *does the happy dance* - VfxGenie  1547.3 #93 1:01PM
"2013 Grad Nite" picture meet up! - LaTruce  2259.5 #56 7:19PM
Hahahaha good times! - LoneRAYnger  4261.4 #24 7:21PM
I was there in 1994.... We had All 4 One (sang I swear) was so much fun! - PixiePirateMaid  315.2 #751 7:40PM
All for One used to shop at the grocery store I worked at. I remember when their manager bought them all Hondas. They were huge in my little small town. I had Timmy T. I wish I had New Kids. Omg I love them. The past two times I've been due when they came to my area (2911 and now) this is the last baby for us so bring it on New Kids - frankysmommy  19.0 #6849 7:44PM
sighhh one of the downfalls of haveing my birthday is june Gradnight always falls the day after - disneyboi805  38.8 #4918 7:59PM
I worked Gradnight in 1998. DCA was under construction. The structure didn't exsist. And I worked in the parking lot. We parked all the buses in the Pinocchio lot and the annex which is where the structure is now. And the kids had to walk in on the tram route to a back gate by Splash mountain. Then at the end of the night (6am) the kids had to walk from the main gate all the way up the team route back to the buses. It looked like a scene from the walking dead 😜. I worked guest control too and it never seemed overly crowded. Oh and at that time dress code was still semi formal. - perrylover25  165.1 #2404 9:51PM
Worried, we are going may 22 & 23. Should we reschedule? - Mariela_ela_ela  133.3 #2879 10:09PM
I'm a firm believer that any day is a great day at DL, but I've had some horrible experiences while there on Grad Night days. Very crowded, rude kids, line cutting..essentially just being crazy! Maybe we went on bad days though! - GrimGrinningAmanda  660.5 #265 7:22AM
😬 - adisneyfamily  863.3 #192 5:38AM
My son was supposed to go to this this year. I don't think he is going to graduate though. I hope all the grads have a great time! - ambear72  191.9 #1998 7:32AM

If May 24 is the all nighter how will that work with grad night - sunshinegrl  348.8 #616 3:10PM
We had the Jets. Disneyland was giving away cars. I saw a girl win a Chevy Tracker (kinda like a jeep). - Disneydamsel  10.9 #9331 3:14PM

What time do they move over to DCA? If Disneyland does not close until midnight on the weekends is that when they move over to DCA or earlier? - CuriousAsAlice7  97.3 #3487 11:33AM
Yes, when DL closes at midnight, DCA will close at 11 for the start of Grad Night - BaseballMickey_CM  6887.3 #9 11:41AM
I'm going may 16-18 to Disney. Looks like I can expect it to be very crowded lol - treradical  126.1 #2979 11:32AM
oh the memories going back to 1987. Level 42 in Tomorrowland!! - FrankenweenieVelinee  1937.7 #73 11:42AM

We have always noticed that Saturdays are better than Sundays! We always come on the weekend and say we want to leave at dinner time on Sunday, but always leave by 11-12 because there are so many people. We love Saturday!! - 1Princess3Princes  373.0 #559 5:39PM

http://cchealth.org/eh/retail-food/dog-law-faq.php Β  I know folks love theiri pets but I still do not think this is sanitary Β from a food perspective. See the url for CA law. Unless they provide a designated pet area outside, dogs cannot lick the plates/utensils, who cleans up after a dog accident......No pets in at a restaurant for now (service dogs are the exception). Disney is excellent with their food cleanliness in the parks per the Public health inspections. DTD does not fare as well per Retaurarant inspection. Check the Health Care Agency for the current restaurant inspections. As a Public health nurse I always check to see who is keeping clean in their kitchens. Diners beware! - Plumiegirl  8617.4 #3 10:42AM
