Do any mini MWers collect pins? And if so, where did you get their lanyards? How early is too early to start? Is it ethical for me to use my son for access to the cool green lanyard pins? Ok, I kid (kinda) on the last one, but the first two queries were legitimate.
Ha! Me oldest started collecting/trading at 3 I think. We ordered her a princess lanyard with her name sewn on it from the Disney website. It's shorter then the ones I've seen at the park. I just love watching her eyes light up when she trades with those special CMs! How old is your little one? - Duchess_SMK

He will be 2.5 the next time we go. I know he's really young, but his speech/motor skills are really advanced, so I'm hoping to try it. - LittleAprilShowers 500.5 #241 11:02AM
My 3 year old started about the same as your son's age. - joyfulmomma 230.7 #1255 5:58PM

My 3 princesses collect. There are shorter lanyards available with Toy Story and Princess prints, et all. They have a blast and love going up to everyone to check their pins, those who allow them. We have met some amazing people there who have traded pins because of the precious dimples and curls! It's so fun and adds to my girls' memories! 😍 - joyfulmomma

My son collects pins. My mom got him a starter set when he was 2. He didn't startpin traiding until he was 3 ( fairly recent). He loves pin traiding and he's sweet to get pins he knows I'll like. It has taught him to say please and thank you and to stop a cm nicely by saying "excuse me can I see your pins" lol cutest thing ever - lilo84

I'm a big pin collector! I have 5 lanyards with different themes but I love them all! My favorite is getting the pins from the Disneyland half marathons because it only comes 1x a year! Recently, I learned about the "fake" pins from a CM who carries a magnet around with him and it makes trading with others a bit more difficult but it's ok! - LovetoRunDisney

Haha I missed the "mini" part! I wish my mini cousins would be into Disney as much as I am, but they're "too cool" haha - LovetoRunDisney

When a CM is wearing a real colored lanyard, those pins are only for kids 3-12 years old - BaseballMickey_CM 2993.1 #15 5:09PM
@littleaprilshowers. I have 3 boys. One that will be 3 yrs old on Wednesday 6 yr old and 15 yr old - mickeya113 235.2 #1189 5:13PM
I got one for our news member he was 3 months old. He is 7 months now.. What I did was collect a pin every visit he has gone. I got the baby pins and I will continue to pick up a pin for every day that he goes even if it's a cute LE pin. So when he is older he will have a great collection. My dad did the same with me but with buttons. - Singh2011

My son started around 3 yrs old he is now 5 he has a fascination for trains so that's what most of his pins are. And we bought his lanyard at the astro blaster shop, but they carry small ones throughout the parks. - Belle916
