I live in San Jose and drive down with friends about every other month. It's not too bad if you go with others. We split the gas and hotel (a cheap one) 4 ways. Each 3-4 day trip is under 150 not counting food and souvenirs. - danee0123

I'm just a few minutes north of you in Mountain View. Nice to hear I'm
Not the only one who is doing this if I decide to. Lol. :) - MariaR 170.1 #2003 5:15PM
I'm live in NorCal too. I figure if I'm going to make at least 2 trip (approx 4 days each) passes are worth it. - NikkiMickey

Depending on which ap you get just look at what the price of one day one park, ad parking and whatever that total is you take the AP that you want to get and divide those two numbers. I think for preme min it comes out to about 5 or 6 times not including discounts on merchandise and food so... Yeah if you can come that many times it's completely worth it. - TikiJOSEsWingman

We live in Sacramento and go at least twice a year for a week at a time and it is worth it to us. There has been plenty of times where we wanted to go for a weekend or a couple days here and there and by the time you add it up it is about the same as staying all week. So getting it for us has been really worth it. - beastfearn

I'm in Pleasanton, I have an AP and I go every other month, or two, or every month if I'm lucky...😃 If you go twice in a year, I think it's worth it. Plus you save on food and merchandise. 😊😊 - DisneyFanZoe

Since purchasing my first AP back in May 2010 I have been going 4x a year for at least three days each time. I originally bought a Deluxe but with the price of taking the ART being about the same as parking a car I upgraded to a Premium last summer. Definitely paid for itself after four days of visits to the parks in one trip. - KermitFan13

someone said to stay near the ToyStory lot, walk to it and take the DL tram/ bus in - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint 1772.5 #42 5:33PM
We did this for the first time. It's important to note that Toy Story Lot and buses currenly open/start at 7 and there can be a long line to bus back (we walked instead of wait at 10:30pm). - NikkiMickey 1583.1 #48 5:43PM
We are in Edmonton Alberta. We make it down there 2-3 times a year and we find the AP well worth it. If you can get 8 or more days use out of it, its paid for itself. - whistlinghillbilly

Don't forget Premium Pass, which includes DisneyWorld is only $849 and includes both Cal and Fla all parks, and numerous other features and discounts. It is not that expensive to fly Southwest from the Bay area and off-site hotels off-season at DW are reasonably cheap as well. - radiator

I think you are talking about the Premiere Pass. Wish this was true for the Premium. - KermitFan13 406.2 #320 5:45PM
we go twice a year and feel its worth it for the Deluxe AP. Just make sure your summer trip dates aren't blockout dates. If they are you might want to get the Premium AP.
