So today I was able to ride the newly renovated Matterhorn. I'm still not sure how I feel about it. It's VERY bummpy an a little rough on the body. The seats are very small. I am 5'3" and I felt cramped. I still love the ride because it is such a classic but not sure if I like the new sled changes. Any other MW have some input?

Not complaining just reviewing...I'm like 5'1 and I felt cramped...I miss riding with someone.. it was a lot more comfy :( - MayBie  1885.6 #90 4:58PM
why would the go with more cramped sleds? Surely taller men sampled this, right? - misschurro  6362.4 #17 5:03PM
Not sure why. But they are a very tight squeeze. Not quite seats...but not sure what to call it. You just kindof sit and put you're legs out in front of you. Basically your knees are at your chest. - OneDayAlice  497.4 #430 5:20PM
You could call it giving birth ? - Villescas8  606.9 #336 5:41PM
oh it sounds EXACTLY the same! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ the birthing seats - misschurro  6362.4 #17 5:46PM
You know...Ive yet to give birth, but Im going to say its a pretty similar position lol - OneDayAlice  497.4 #430 7:51PM
I thought it seemed slower - SorcererD91  2906.6 #45 4:57PM
I'm 5'7 and I felt fine in it. - emilyeem  179.8 #2254 5:00PM
I think it might depend on how long your legs are. Some people have a taller torso than legs. - Princess_Pirate  8.0 #12801 5:01PM
I'm 6'3 and I was comfy....hehehe, trolling. - VfxGenie  1556.7 #109 5:02PM
*looks for ' i ' in your name* - misschurro  6362.4 #17 5:04PM
LoL.. - VfxGenie  1556.7 #109 5:09PM
I thought you were closer to 6'5" - Mouse4life  1680.6 #100 5:11PM
Maybe it was the seat I was in??? Hmmm. Guess I'll have to ride again and get a different spot. I was in the 3rd seat. - OneDayAlice  497.4 #430 5:21PM
I rode the very front last night, right side. I agree that it has gotten slower and bummpy, but still fun. I'm 4'9 and I did feel for taller people cuz I thought, man if I fit just right my boyfriend behind me must be cramped. - mini_MINNIE  1140.1 #158 5:23PM
The fantasyland side is the "slower" side and tomorrowland side is the "faster" side - Candy_MakerCM  20.6 #7217 5:33PM
the disney info said the fantasyland side was longer and sharper turns. but I think it is a matter of our own perspective!  someone else on here said the front seat is the most cramped too. can't wait to ride it!!! - secretagentangel  4658.8 #28 5:44PM
I rode the Fanstay Land side and it was VERY sharp turns. I felt a couple times like I was going to fall out - OneDayAlice  497.4 #430 7:52PM
Eek! I don't like tight spaces! Poop! It would be neato if someone could hook up a photo of what the sleds looks like on the inside. hint hint nudge nudge! - PickyPicky  14.7 #8687 5:51PM
So picky πŸ˜‚ - Villescas8  606.9 #336 5:54PM
I sadly agree. I was excited to ride it only for my 6'3" boyfriend to b totally cramped and even me a 5'6" person cramped. I miss the comfy two person seats too. Ride was still the same bumps, twists, and turns ;-). - 2thtchr  84.8 #3846 6:26PM
Woooo, 4'11 here!! super excited! - AshleyLynn22  791.2 #233 7:52PM
The sleds arw heavier. That is probally why the ride is slower. I too felt it was very bumpy and jarring. - DaddyOf3  6.0 #16028 8:14PM
I agree no room if you are on the tall side.  I'm 6'4" and my two sons are 6'7" and 6'5".  Very tight fit for us.  - DisneyPix  5.4 #17558 8:27PM
