So today I was able to ride the newly renovated Matterhorn. I'm still not sure how I feel about it. It's VERY bummpy an a little rough on the body. The seats are very small. I am 5'3" and I felt cramped. I still love the ride because it is such a classic but not sure if I like the new sled changes. Any other MW have some input?
Not complaining just reviewing...I'm like 5'1 and I felt cramped...I miss riding with someone..

Not sure why. But they are a very tight squeeze. Not quite seats...but not sure what to call it. You just kindof sit and put you're legs out in front of you. Basically your knees are at your chest. - OneDayAlice 331.5 #461 5:20PM

I think it might depend on how long your legs are. Some people have a taller torso than legs. - Princess_Pirate

I rode the very front last night, right side. I agree that it has gotten slower and bummpy, but still fun. I'm 4'9 and I did feel for taller people cuz I thought, man if I fit just right my boyfriend behind me must be cramped. - mini_MINNIE

the disney info said the fantasyland side was longer and sharper turns. but I think it is a matter of our own perspective! someone else on here said the front seat is the most cramped too. can't wait to ride it!!! - secretagentangel

I sadly agree. I was excited to ride it only for my 6'3" boyfriend to b totally cramped and even me a 5'6" person cramped. I miss the comfy two person seats too. Ride was still the same bumps, twists, and turns ;-). - 2thtchr

The sleds arw heavier. That is probally why the ride is slower. I too felt it was very bumpy and jarring. - DaddyOf3

I agree no room if you are on the tall side. I'm 6'4" and my two sons are 6'7" and 6'5". Very tight fit for us. - DisneyPix
