Last night my family and I were waiting on Main Street for the fireworks. We were on the street up against the rope. Once the show started a mother shoved her 4 kids right in front of us and our 2.5 year old! I was cool with the kids but she just pushed her way between me and my wife. Anyone experience this? What did you do? I put my little on my shoulders, but he kept kicking the lady and yelling while she was recording. She told me to control my kid,I was like excuse me. Just venting. Thanks.
I just keep farting until that person decides to leave. - Slotherini

I think a combo of the two would really drive your point home. - MagicalCaprice 480.6 #248 10:20AM
Not gonna lie, I do this to! Open up the atomic fart app on my iPhone and let it rip!!! Or cough uncontrollably and complain about your flu won't seem to quit just yet - ashmonster 31.7 #4296 10:44AM
The beans at River View Terrace do the trick for me everytime. People think there is a skunk on BTMRR - sr citizen space ranger 48.6 #3781 2:43PM

How does everyone know so much about farting!? I didn't even know this stuff!! Lol πππ - Disneyninjaprincess 14.5 #5746 12:00AM
I have a question. What's the difference between this type of complaining and complaining about a ride? I thought we were supposed to keep the complaining out and keep the lounge like a vacation?i mean no disrespect to the original posters concerns or others views but I have seen others complain and get ridiculed. - MrFantasia2000JP

I think in this situation there just kind of asking what would be the best way to deal with the situation and how others have delt with it in the past. - WonTonInWonderland 93.0 #3107 8:54AM
Maybe because when u complain about a ride it's like insulting Disneyland itself...but venting about a rude person is and asking advice is more understandable, especially since most of us have had this type of experience... But that's just my 2 cents π - Mermaidmommy 32.8 #4253 9:02AM
P.S. hi brother in law π - Mermaidmommy 32.8 #4253 9:02AM
Point taken, I was just curious on what other mW would have done. Funny thing was the people to our right were from out of town/country and we offered to them our spots so they could get a better view! The wife came up but the guys stayed behind us. So I'm not bashing or complaining, but asking for advice, that's ok right? Don't want to step on anyone's foot. - snappy 272.6 #806 9:36AM
I don't think he was complaining-he shared an experience and asked for advice. - CM_Tamstirr 318.9 #525 9:50AM

Speaking of stepping on a foot, you could have "accidentally" stepped on hers? - Sharkgrrl19 202.9 #1585 3:30PM

I actually ask them to leave...I explain that I've waited there for that position and that it isn't fair for them to cut me off but the people that are around that have waited as well...and if they don't leave I bring a cm and explain and have. Them tell them to move..problem solved - theemaleficentdiva

It has happened to me many times. Especially while we r waiting for Fantasmic. Honestly I don't want to be mean but usually when I'm waiting for a show I stretch out and give myself some room but I cover the empty space because I have noticed that any small crack some people will squeeze themselves. - ruth214
202.2 #1596 8:56AM
I am a very blunt person! I have had to MOVE people more then once who tried to squeeze in-between me and my kids. I have a tenancy of being louder then people expect me to be and people tend to move away when they realize I'm not as quite andsweet as I look. I say start off firm and it will deture most people. - rexy650

Sue... I did use them on more then one senior on grad nights! Lol - rexy650 255.9 #948 3:50PM
We had this happen during world of color when we were there last may, there was a family there and the kids were very small for their ages, our son had been playing with them while we waited or the show to start, we offered for them to come up front beside us and our son. Everything was good up until the rest of the family came (2 sets of grandparents a bunch of cousins and aunts and uncles) the kept trying to squeeze them all in. I finally had enough of my feet be trampled on and told the mom and dad that we moved over for THEM and THEIR kids! Nothing else was mentioned about 20 other people!! They all moved back into behind us after that. - Disneymomab

I would have said something first polite then if she got rude so would I sorry that's just how I am fireworks are important to me if it wasn't something I cared about I would have probably walked away but I cant sand people that feel they are entitled - lisaw
96.3 #3074 11:36PM
I would have politely told her if she moved you'd put your child down, but since she chose to stand in front a little one, you'll hold your child so they can see the fireworks also. Lady was very rude!! - GarnerPhotography

We've all seen that, so disappointing that some people are so rude. Good for you for keeping your cool in grit of your kids. - Normstar

I only let the little ones in front and say little ones only. If parents want their kids back I gently return them to their parents. My 8 year old was stepped on last year so my son and I started this. - MeridasHair

There's always rude people everywhere, ask kindly and let it roll off your shoulder - MarshaMouse
2850.7 #16 8:03AM
I always let it roll off, but I draw the line with my little one and wife. If she were to just ask I would have been more than happy to give up my spot. Kindness will always get you more in life! - snappy 272.6 #806 8:17AM
I agree! I had that happen to me at fantasmic. I gave them a teacher stink eye... - MarshaMouse 2850.7 #16 8:19AM
I always let kids in front of me but I only let adults if they ask me. If I hear a group behind me that is from out of town I usually let them go in front of me too, I figure they will not have as many chances as I will to catch a show, parade, etc. - MozPrincess
577.4 #189 8:48AM
My husband and I are very similar. We are are from out of state but we are blessed enough to come the parks at least 4 times a year so if we know people arn't local and arn't rude we let them have our spot and enjoy there reactions. A persons reaction to shows is almost as good as the show! - rexy650 255.9 #948 10:10AM
Shove them out of the way I would ask them to leave or get a cm to do it. - Tron2012

341.1 #429 9:30AM
for me personally, as long as they aren't blocking the way of me, or my family, I'm ok with it. However, if they are in the way, I will say something. It is definitely annoying though, especially when they say "oh I'm sorry, I didn't see you...." -__- how could you not see me if you shoved me out of the way? lol - MrLeeFromDisney

I'm a pushover, I've had ladies run me over with their strollers then they give me the stink eye for being in their way?? I don't say anything. I just move on. - nicealex77

Moms like that give other stroller using moms a bad name! I'm sorry that happened to you.... - Mermaidmommy 32.8 #4253 10:46AM
You're too kind! I just hate seeing nice people being taken advantage of! If we ever have room for you and your family just come on over! - snappy 272.6 #806 2:26PM
That really bugs me. I don't understand why people can't control their strollers. I have a huge jogging stroller and take the time to maneuver and make sure I don't hit anyone. People like that are y others give me the side eye as I'm going to the park. Sorry u got ran into. π - MariaR 170.1 #2004 2:32PM
I try to apologize to people if I do get them with the stroller unless the person trys to step over my child in the stroller or cutthe stroller off. If they do that then I tell them they should of watched there step or that they shouldn't have tried to step over my child. - rexy650 255.9 #948 3:58PM
I think sometimes you have to group up with those around you, we had some people tell us they deserved to be in front (they came late)because of their kids, but the people in front of us were aussies and had never seen fireworks. the ladies and i joined arms and would not let the people through. the men just watched and stood tall behind, but sometimes people won't mess with the "ladies" . I have had to tell people sweetly that the people who chose to wait 2 hours get the seats. - secretagentangel
669.5 #154 2:54PM
OK wait a minute. They felt they should be at front because they were late? Just wow. - Lelundrial 341.1 #429 3:13PM
and because they had been "busy" watching fantasmic. we chose fireworks, they wanted it all. and they seemed to have passes so not sure why all the hate, but the aussie ladies and hi had a smile over them trying to push us. - secretagentangel 669.5 #154 3:17PM

I consider myself a nice person, mostly and I am always aware of others and their space. So when someone disregards me and my space, I have some rage come out. I absolutely would have told that woman to learn her some home training and to take a hike. If all else fails, I'm chucking the MWDR at her head. Cause with all the shellac, I'm sure it packs a mean punch. - DisneyFanZoe

First I tell them politely that they need to move. I inform them that myself and many others have been patiently waiting/saving our spots. If the offender gets mouthy, rude or refuses to budge well... Let's just say that I find it so funny and odd how all my ketchup packets tend to "magically" malfunction and explode upon opening. Oooopsie! π - Aquata

Oh the fireworks show is tough getting what u want. Last year when I went I left my family to get an ice cream n when I tried getting back in these pl were accusing me of cutting n wouldn't move.aside to let me go through. The cms didndo much to helping me get back with my family. I just shoved my way thru n some guy threatened and nearly made me drop my ice cream. Just saying I wish pl were more considerate bout others. - spideymickey
