So I finally booked my WDW vacation today! I've never been there but I've been to dland tons. Any tips or tricks from mwers who have been? I'm super excited ....50 days and counting :)

The dining plan is wonderful and I wouldn't do it any other way.  My advice--use the extra hours to get the best use of your time.  Moving between parks is made easy but don't try and do more than two a day or your feet may fall off by the end of your trip.  Everest is the best ride--ToT is way better in WDW.  If you like mini-golfing the courses on the resort are all really fun!  When you do the Wildlife Park--do the safari first thing in the morning--more animals are out and about --not sleeping yet!!  Have a great time! - missyandpaul  285.8 #1004 12:24AM
Are you staying at a WDW resort? When is your vacation and for how long? - Lelundrial  656.3 #304 6:35PM
You'll have an awesome time. All the parks are great, my personal favorite is Epcot. Take your time to explore each park. Are you doing the dining plan? I suggest you do. It's the best deal ever! - Princess_Pirate  8.0 #12787 6:36PM
Check with WDW mousewait! They may have more secrets! - Viktorius  137.2 #2930 6:39PM
We are staying at the caribbean beach resort in Aug. We have a dining plan and have made reservations at chef mickeys. I checked with the mw Florida crew too ..but I was hoping some dl mwers have some tips too - dhBelle04  284.2 #1023 6:52PM
We stayed there, in Jamaica! Fair warning: it is huge and it seemed a really long way to the main areas from our room. Also, beware of the critters! We had a little frog sneak into our room and lots of lizards on the walkways! 😱 - bluefairy  643.8 #312 11:05PM
Depends on how long you are staying, try to do a park a day and check out the things that aren't at DLR first, however tower of terror is slightly different and a little better, the parks close earlier there so take advantage of the extra magic hours - DanEBoy19  281.8 #1044 6:57PM
The princess dinner is amazing. It takes 2 credits but the princesses stop at your table, will sign autographs, take picture and chat with you. It was the highlight of my trip. - danee0123  114.7 #3336 7:05PM
If you really want to eat at a certain place you need to have revs if you don't want to wait forever. It's also a good idea to read up on rides and attractions before you arrive because there is so much to do. Trust me you don't want to waste any time standing around saying "so what do we do next?" πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ DM anytime if you have questions I have been there many times πŸ˜ƒ - Dahulagirl  1055.6 #172 7:05PM
I was a Cast Member at WDW... DM me with any questions you might have and I will help! - azcam08  212.8 #1835 7:08PM

Book your meal reservations now.  Our WDW trip is 116 days away and we couldn't get some of the times we wanted. - MrsFletch  234.4 #1550 7:16PM
Yes, for sure do this. Have fun! - DanniGirl  87.6 #3789 10:04PM
We already booked dinner at chef Mickeys, is there any othee place I should check out? I don't want to miss anything. I'll be there for 6 days. The more I can know the bettee since its during peak time - dhBelle04  284.2 #1023 7:22PM
Le celier!!! Cinderella's royal table. We also ate at boma at animal kingdom Lodge. I think reservations are available 6 months out. 😁 - bluefairy  643.8 #312 11:07PM
SCI FI!! Such an amazing experience! We LOVED the atmosphere and the food was great! - DownTheRabbitHole  310.2 #856 11:09PM
LOVE WDW!!!!! We mostly did things that DL doesn't have, the rides that both parks have are soooo much better at DL! Eating at the SCI FI dine in theater was a blast, so was eating inside the castle!!! Prepare to walk like you have never walked before!! Give yourself a day or two ate end not structured so you can go back and spend more time where you just didn't get enough! Staying at a WDW resort is really tons better, the cabins are amazing-reserve your golf cart early! OH!! And try not to pee your pants on Expedition Everest!!!!! - adisneyfamily  1003.9 #187 7:31PM
"a day or two at the end..." - adisneyfamily  1003.9 #187 7:32PM
Get a AAA diamond parking pass (we got one on eBay for like $10). This let's you park up front in premium parking at any of the parks and lasts a year so you can resell it when the trip is over. Also, don't forget about extra hours. - CM_Shadowgamer  2515.9 #55 7:40PM
Another tip is for Magic Kingdom. Find a place around the hub for The Magic, Memories and You. When its over, you can stay put in your spot for a few more minuted and have an excellent viewing location for Wishes and Electrical Parade. - CM_Shadowgamer  2515.9 #55 7:43PM
I've been to WDW once, about 8 years ago, so the only thing I can really tell you is that I agree with "adisneyfamily", you will be doing A LOT of walking, so make sure everyone is wearing comfortable shoes. Other than that I don't really remember much, except that The Tower of Terror does seem to be much better at WDW. But what I remember most was how much walking I had to do, but I wouldn't pass the chance up to do it all again!  - RogueRobot  38.7 #5287 8:11PM

Awesome! Thanks so much for all the tips! This is why I love MW! You all always come to the rescue. We have reservations at chef mickeys...is there anywhere else I need to check out? - dhBelle04  284.2 #1023 9:42PM
Ohana for breakfast at The Polynesian! We also liked the Sci-Fi Drive In at Hollywood Studios (fun lunch restaurant). Google disboards for a ton of tips. - susieQzee  555.8 #366 11:46PM
Oh, and Le Chefs de France in Epcot to see Remy, of course! - susieQzee  555.8 #366 11:47PM
I just sent you an email on my helpful tips! Enjoy - azcam08  212.8 #1835 11:36PM
I never got your email ...I'll have to check my junk mail but maybe you could resend it? :) - dhBelle04  284.2 #1023 10:31AM
My best advice would be to take me with you!!! - ScubaSteve028  835.7 #220 11:50PM
I'm a veteran of hundreds of trips to WDW. Been going there since 1975. Take my advice and buy the book called "The Unofficial Guide To Walt Disney World". It's like the bible for WDW. It will save you so much time. It is chocked full of so much need-to-know information. - wg4ever  364.8 #627 12:31AM
