So I finally booked my WDW vacation today! I've never been there but I've been to dland tons. Any tips or tricks from mwers who have been? I'm super excited ....50 days and counting :)
The dining plan is wonderful and I wouldn't do it any other way. My advice--use the extra hours to get the best use of your time. Moving between parks is made easy but don't try and do more than two a day or your feet may fall off by the end of your trip. Everest is the best ride--ToT is way better in WDW. If you like mini-golfing the courses on the resort are all really fun! When you do the Wildlife Park--do the safari first thing in the morning--more animals are out and about --not sleeping yet!! Have a great time! - missyandpaul

You'll have an awesome time. All the parks are great, my personal favorite is Epcot. Take your time to explore each park. Are you doing the dining plan? I suggest you do. It's the best deal ever! - Princess_Pirate

We stayed there, in Jamaica! Fair warning: it is huge and it seemed a really long way to the main areas from our room. Also, beware of the critters! We had a little frog sneak into our room and lots of lizards on the walkways! 😱 - bluefairy 628.8 #176 11:05PM
Depends on how long you are staying, try to do a park a day and check out the things that aren't at DLR first, however tower of terror is slightly different and a little better, the parks close earlier there so take advantage of the extra magic hours - DanEBoy19

The princess dinner is amazing. It takes 2 credits but the princesses stop at your table, will sign autographs, take picture and chat with you. It was the highlight of my trip. - danee0123

If you really want to eat at a certain place you need to have revs if you don't want to wait forever. It's also a good idea to read up on rides and attractions before you arrive because there is so much to do. Trust me you don't want to waste any time standing around saying "so what do we do next?" 😃😃 DM anytime if you have questions I have been there many times 😃 - Dahulagirl

SCI FI!! Such an amazing experience! We LOVED the atmosphere and the food was great! - DownTheRabbitHole 310.2 #576 11:09PM
LOVE WDW!!!!! We mostly did things that DL doesn't have, the rides that both parks have are soooo much better at DL! Eating at the SCI FI dine in theater was a blast, so was eating inside the castle!!! Prepare to walk like you have never walked before!! Give yourself a day or two ate end not structured so you can go back and spend more time where you just didn't get enough! Staying at a WDW resort is really tons better, the cabins are amazing-reserve your golf cart early! OH!! And try not to pee your pants on Expedition Everest!!!!! - adisneyfamily

Get a AAA diamond parking pass (we got one on eBay for like $10). This let's you park up front in premium parking at any of the parks and lasts a year so you can resell it when the trip is over. Also, don't forget about extra hours. - shadowgamer

Another tip is for Magic Kingdom. Find a place around the hub for The Magic, Memories and You. When its over, you can stay put in your spot for a few more minuted and have an excellent viewing location for Wishes and Electrical Parade. - shadowgamer

I've been to WDW once, about 8 years ago, so the only thing I can really tell you is that I agree with "adisneyfamily", you will be doing A LOT of walking, so make sure everyone is wearing comfortable shoes. Other than that I don't really remember much, except that The Tower of Terror does seem to be much better at WDW. But what I remember most was how much walking I had to do, but I wouldn't pass the chance up to do it all again! - RogueRobot

I'm a veteran of hundreds of trips to WDW. Been going there since 1975. Take my advice and buy the book called "The Unofficial Guide To Walt Disney World". It's like the bible for WDW. It will save you so much time. It is chocked full of so much need-to-know information. - wg4ever
